Vegetarian or Non?

Whenever I go out with friends...or with people I don't know, usually, it's either go to McDonald's, Burger King...and all those fast-food eateries.
And when I say..."I'm vegetarian...", they stare at me all wide-eyed and ask me..."Are you serious, why??".

I think..WHY NOT?? It's not very "humane" to be eating an animal..a living creature.

So..I wanna know, what's wrong with being a vegetarian.

Which is better...veg, or non-veg.

I think theres nothing wrong being a vegetarian, or to it is. For me I like both b/c there are some times I dont wanna eat meat so I eat vegi or plan noodle and some other stuff

I would say both because for meat, you need protein in your body and for salad..it's healthy for you.

I'm veg too, and ya I had to ditch fast food. I just dislike the idea of eating something's muscles and fat tissue and veins and all that. It turned me off one day and I've been veg ever since. Plenty of ways to find all the stuff meat has. I like that people think you NEED meat, but all the animals their eating are vegetarian animals. cows have bigger muscles then you'll ever have. go grass!

I'm an omnivore. I don't eat much meat. Only for dinner and sometimes lunch. Any other time, I have fruit or something like that.

just eating both vegetables and meat,things i dont eat is all what can i get in fast food markets like mcdonalds,burger kind and so on. i really dislike those places^^ im eating selfmade food or resturaunt food:D

i grew up eating various kinds of meats... i cant not eat meat... i see a steak on the table i just cant resist the urge to grab it..

Humans have a bile sack on their liver.... the bile is used to break down animal fats... we are carnivores. We also have teeth designed to not only slice through meat, but crush vegetation and the gastrointestinal system evolved for it..... so we are both by nature.

What you personally choose to devour is up to you but the hungrier you get the more you are likely to eat what comes natural....whatever is available.

humans are carnivorous. vegetarianism it's against our human nature as well as physiology!! it's only our sense of "guilt" that makes some of us think that it's wrong to eat another life-being. Vegetarianism? Well, then why don't we try to make a cat eat only grass ;) None of the animals that are carnivore, won't become a "veggie", lol.
It's not that I'm "numb" or "emotionless" but I think it's not healthy at all for ppl to stop eating meat.
if someone's is such a "life-lover" maybe should also feel "sorry" for sitting down on a wooden stool, or at the wooden table... 'cause it's not "just a wood" but a tree that used to be once "alive", right?

I don't see what the big deal is, whether you're a vegetarian or not. I'm sorry if I'm freaky but eating something that has basically the same tissue and muscle as me just doesn't sound appealing at all.

for the most part i don't think people have a problem with anyone being a vegetarian, only problem people seem to have is when vegetarians start telling other people that they are wrong for eating meat despite the fact that our bodes are design to eat meat.

humans are not carnivorous we are omnivores our bodes are design to eat both plants and animals.


also plants are alive too so if you are a vegetarian you still have to kill something to eat

Why people want to proov themself like WE ARE NOT ANIMAL !!! .... the only thing that we have that they don't is... more developed brain.... so who care.... i mean I wont be angry if you compared human with animal... we are both living thing... we have both emotion... we both need to eat/drink/breath.... and they still eating other living thing to lives... so why I couldn't eat other living thing ? we aren't so different of animal anyway lol .....

I used to be a heavy meat eater. It was really hard to become a vegetarian, but we slowly just stopped eating it. I've been a vegetarian going on 6 years I think. I don't miss meat, and because I haven't eaten it in so long I can't stand the smell of it sometimes. People think that veg's hate meat and most think that we hate meat eaters. It's not that I hate meat, I mean I'm from the south so BBQ and fried chicken are the best, but that is honestly the only think I miss eating. My daddy's BBQ chicken and my momma's fried chicken, man those were good days. But they're past and I don't see the big deal about being a veg. Besides, now that I'm on my own I don't have to keep being a veg. But I do anyways.

There is nothing wrong with being a vegetarian, but unless ur a plant, you can't exist w/o consuming other living creatures. Its in the sig people.

I am a bit confused over this stuff! If we consider animals to have souls like humans, then it is terribly inhumane to eat them! BUT, I cannot live without eating meat (not literary of course!). I love meat and even though I really like some fruits and vegetables I can't feed only on them!!!

That's one of my personalities, the second one feeds on blood but you won't go telling that to anyone else right!
