Your biggest game dissapointment?

For me it was when SOE and LAE removed 75% to 90% of the game content from Star Wars Galaxies. Before that, I would play no other game. after that, I have yet to find a game as involved or as fun.

If it weren't for animefuel I wouldn't turn my PC on except just when I had to. If I get time I will play WoW, but that has no player housing, no player cities, no player or player city owned faction bases that can be destroyed or defended, and no real depth to the crafting.

Six hour game? It takes an hour and a half for the introduction and getting through the school, I'm pretty sure it'd be impossible to beat in a time length less that 14 hours if you played every part by and only by pure neccessity to do somthing.

Anyone who plays RuneScape like me will understand why this was such a dissapointment for me. After I tell the story then I will explain for those who dont play RuneScape.

I was fishing sharks in the what they call a "fishing guild", and I noticed some one what wearing a red Party hat*. I noticed it, told him I thought it was cool, and continued with my fishing. A few minutes later he got what is called a random event**. He didn't notice it at all, and so he died and droped his Party Hat. Now like everyone there, we all ran as fast as we could to get to it and pick it up. I was just about to get it when some one next to me got it instead... I was very close to destroying my computer in a blind rage.

*A Party Hat is an item in RuneScape that has been discontinued for several years, meaning they don't make them anymore. Therefor are EXTREAMLY RARE and the red one at that time was worth around 350million.

**A random event is somewhat explainitory. Its an event (usualy having something to do with a NPC) that is completely random, and if ignore, is sometimes fatal... As you all should now understand.

The ending to Final Fantasy X really made me mad. -.-
And the lack of a romance in FFXII is sort of disappointing, but I like the battle style. It still doesn't have a good enough plot to keep me interested, though.

For me it was when SOE bought the Matrix Online. I did open and closed beta for mxo and played it after release for 2 years straight. I have yet to find another game with such an amazingly mature community.
Plus its the only game that had an in game mp3 player and its own radio stations. I also liked the in game messenger. It used aol so you could talk to people in game even when you weren't, like x-fire but it was a part of the game. I know the mission system was super boring but there was always something to do. I could go on and on!

Anyway, I'm also gonna throw in Heavenly Sword, it was too damn short!

wasn't crazy how halo 3 ended, starfox command was horrible even though you can play as wolf and the game has multiple endings, and battlefield bad company wasn't great too short and wasn't what i was totally expecting.

Edit: GTA 4 was kindof dissapointing for me at least, especially the lack of good in game radio stations.

I had heard about the series for so long, and I was thrilled to finally get a chance to check it out myself, but it turned out to be one of the most mediocre RPGs I've tried, you couldn't eve select your target in combats! Even NES games could do that! I still finished it, though, only to get the most lame ending ever. T_T

Mine would probably be Final Fantasy XI. Honestly the game sucks, but it attracts you. Once you start playing it you get a bit confused, then you join a linkshell and make friends and BAM! That's where they suck you in. You find yourself logging on just to talk to your friends and when you hit Level 75 and have no where else to go except change to one of the other 13 jobs they give you to level (Which really is a pain because your constantly spending gil(FF money) to level the 13 jobs and when you run out of gil it takes weeks to farm more).

That being said, it's like I'm paying $13 a month (+ $1 for every extra character you create) to chat with people on the game instead of actually playing. God help the people who actually try to play it, without having a rich friend or becoming a "gil buyer" you'll be paying $13 to work for your in-game money which feels like a full time job because you make a small amount of gil in about 4 hours.

...yeah that was a long rant, but well worth it lol

I agree. It wasn't Zelda we were worrying about the entire game. For all we knew she was dead (in a manner of speaking). Midna would've been better and stronger than Zelda. Midna is waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy cooler than Zelda.

I know what you are talking about. I had to push myself to finish it. I hated how you had to decide weather you would fight for xp or for useless items. The "card system" was bull, I didn't even know how to use it until the 3rd to last boss which is 2 minutes from the second to last boss and 30 seconds from there to the last boss. In the end, how the second boss got stronger was just stupid. The main guy threw the momental sword of a dead friend at it, got stuck, and it pulled it out and started using it. He didn't even bother to take it back afterwords. The game only lasts literly 4 hours with the same battles going over and over again. Specials were crap, Only 3 characters, 5 total. The main guy was to overpowered, hitting 3 times with high damage, while the others were useless, one attack with low damage.

Bah Square Enix's first game push for the 360; Last Remnant was trash, nice idea, couldve been good if they wouldnt have skipped all the polish and bug fixes before letting it out. Story was about the best part of the game but the gaps between CG scenes and the fact that while on a mission you had no oppurtunity to save really blew.
