Grave of the fireflies is my best anime movie and i just want to discus about it with all the people that where amazed too. so what do you think about it?

I was incredibly moved when I saw this film. This is one of the genius films out there that proves animation can carry a story just as well. I challenge anyone who thinks otherwise to watch this film without shedding a tear.a simply amazing movie.

I can agree with you so much. This movie is beautifully made and the story is far more moving than most others out there. It seems to fall into a category with me, the brilliant, but I don't think I want to put myself through the horror of watching something like that again, category. It's unbelievable what those two went through and the tragedy that can follow any war. I'd insist everybody should watch this at least once.

a definite classic, ive seen it 3 times so far. i like the idea's that are in the movie, and the background art!! beautifully done.

:( sorry to hear, it's definitely not your everyday type of anime tho. I personally feel it reads more like a live movie, but I love the look and detail of anime. so much appreciation for what anime-ators do.

This movie is unique in it's own ways.Even though it is only just an anime,it's one of the most powerful anti-war movie's ever made and i personally reccoment it to everyone.The plot is as following.
Two children named Seita and Setsuko,His younger sister are trying their best to survive,during a cruel,in-human like battle taking place in Japan during World War II.Having no one to look after them,they eventually find a shelter,but thing's get hard as they run out of food,and Seita has to look for food,and during WWII,that's not an easy task,especially when it's done by a kid.That's pretty much it,without including the spoiler's in the end.Enjoy the movie everyone,I'd give this movie a 9,5 out of 10 if i could rate it that is.

Oh and i shouldn't forget to mention that this anime-movie has also been released as live-action version in Japan,but unlike the animated version, it tells the story from the point of view of their aunt.

I have watched it alone for twice, and it makes my spirit goes down.... I am so depressed

I liked it. It may have had some sad parts but i dont think it was THAT sad.

I watched it a long time ago and I still remember the story..that's how good it was.
