Yes. The earth is doomed in the definition of an "end" And more importantly you may be doomed too. Though we ALL are going to die someday, weither it be tomarrow or the last days of the earth, it will happen. But through Christ you can be saved. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believed in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 The Holy Bible. His son is Jesus, and those who believe in him are saved. So why worry about the world being doomed if we ourselves are doomed?

i've always lived like i might die in next two days (maybe partly because i'm not huge success in life either , but just cuz i'm trying to get most fun out of everything i could possibly can and never feel disappointed for most things) and thus made me in some ''live like you want (even if your life is materially or socially weak - heck screw it, do what u can with what u have'' kinda guy.

And if the doomed events are coming, be prepared. Or at least do lots of cool stuff so you can end your life like a fucking man! :P

I don't like people who 'live for today'. If you live expecting to die tomorrow, then just go kill yourself now. Live believing that you will live for another year, decade, century. yeah i guess, but death doesnt care weather your young or old. All am saying is it be good if you go out and try stuff you would like to do in the future it doesnt have to be extraordinary or anything like that. ex camping to just trying for a sport team i dont know

Nature can't reproduce plastic for natural nourishment and there are other factors as well, that makes earth's chances slimmer. And these things, problems or products of human errors pops up almost each year. Not that we all die 2012 according to some dumb prophecies, but the earth as it is might change in future, be it near or far..

Of course the world is doomed, but it is a slow unknowing death. Their will always be conflict and death but the true end will come natural disaster. The Sun will blow, a comet will strike, the oceans rise, all more likely to happen than a nuclear holocaust because in the end we as a species will not throw our own existence away that easily. Silly question when we all no nothing last forever.
