Wo Kurai
Wo consumed the rest of her prey as she kicked him to the ground a few feet away. Blood dribbled from her lips and she wiped it away with the side of her right hand. The man she devoured lay crippled, torn, and decapitated on the ground, lifeless, as blood spurted from its broken neck. Wo grinned and giggled childishly. The body evaporated into million particles into the air as she walked past him.
She saw a woman walk through the forest just ahead of her. The woman had long, silky lavender colored hair and wore a transparent cloth on her head as a headpiece. It flowed in the wind behind her as she glided along the forest grounds. Her kimono matched the head- piece with a brilliant color of indigo. A widow, Wo thought. How perfect her blood would be to my soul….
Wo slithered through the bushes and reached the woman in seconds. They stared one another down and the other woman closed her eyes as she lifted a hand. A force field was formed around her in a light pink shiny bubble and the woman opened her bright lime green eyes.
“I know what you are,” said the woman.
Wo just stared at her.
“I am Loth, keeper of the forest. Stay back, beast. This blood of mine won’t be yours tonight.”
“Oh, but it will!” Wo charged at her.
The woman took off her dress and was now dressed in indigo leather pants and tank top. Guns were strapped at the sides of her shins. She pulled both guns out and pointed them at Wo’s forehead.
“Don’t move, bitch!”
Wo stopped charging and stared at the silver tented handguns with brass, shiny handles. Each gun had a single rose etched into the sides of the barrels. Loth cocked the hammer on both guns and grinned.
“Touch me and I’ll pull the triggers.”
“Fair enough. What brings you to these parts of the forest?”
“Bite your tongue! I’m hunting for a demon that doesn’t belong here. You heard of her?”
“A she? I think I might have. Does this she have a name?”
“ They call her Seiya. They say she’s half demon and half angel. I say she doesn’t belong here. So, I’m going to hunt her down and kill her.”
“I’ll make a deal with you.”
Loth brought down both guns and put the safety on them. She listened to what Wo had to say.
“I say we both hunt her down because I’m also looking for her. My master wants me to capture her. He is unable to bite her. If we both look for her, it will be faster.”
“And what do I get out of this if I work with you?”
“A free land of demons.”
“Deal. I’ll hunt this beast and hand her over to you. Though, when you’re done, let me kill her.”
“Promise.”
