k, seriously, personal preferences aside. superman is faster, stronger, can take far far worse punishment than iron man, can escape the earth's atmosphere, shoots lasers from his freakin eyes that can melt metal, can freeze stuff with his breath, can withstand pretty much any weapon iron man can throw at him (repulsars debatable), and could punch directly through tony stark's skull regardless of what suit he's wearing before he even thinks about where he put his kryptonite.

I'm not considering this thread as a fight between the two, personally, but simply on personal preference in general.

In all honesty, Iron Man has a lot more to worry about than Superman. He's in a machine, and machines can be punctured (superman lol bullet wat), he runs on a battery (superman lol i r tired at nite but is kay i fly with hand), and his out-of-hero life--in my opinion, is much harder to balance than that of Superman's own.

Furthermore, Iron Man is more of a character the every-day person could compare to. In comparison to Superman, he's just an average Joe. That's why I prefer Iron Man, I think I can more easily feel that he has a sense of accomplishment and relate to him.

It's kindof funny in the series they gave batman an edge against superman with the use of kryptonite. Batman is an intellegent hero(technically not a super hero) with enough equipment to take on any situation. Ironman is alot richer than batman and has a higher IQ. Soooo in a fight between superman and ironman i would have to put my money on ironman. But i'll never forget that one episode when superman tells his foe he is tired of holding back his power while interacting with the people of earth. yeah but tony can make a suit to survive in the harsh environments and space. if you watched the cartoons when you were younger he has a suit for under water, space, extreme heat, and so on. his chest piece isn't exposed when he is in the suit.

when you watch the movie or cartoon the chest piece of course would be covered up. if you want to kill tony out of his suit you would have to do what Obadiah did in the movie that almost killed tony.
