Ok so I was browsing the topics on here and it seems like there are no plain World of Warcraft Topics! So this is going to be all about WoW =]

I'll be able to answer most questions about WoW if anyone has any. And also, if you want to share what server(s) you play on and what your chars name(s) are, that would be great!

And I'm gonna say this now just in case some people ask, WoW private servers are illegal! Do not join a private server and/or make one!

By the way, I am Hoorah (Level 70 Human Tankadin Skywall) Lepally (Level 28 Blood Elf Tankadin Skywall) and Aammas (Level 43 Blood Elf Warlock Destruction Spec Skywall) So if anyone plays on that realm that would be awesome! ^^

Shamans are the best class ever! I just hate leveling them and the cost of the cost of training and the bag space from the 4 totems lol. But I've played my friends 70 shaman on horde and its really...over powered xD

I used to play. I could never keep to one character though, I kept making new ones. I probably had at least 5 rogues over lvl 30. a couple warriors over 20-30, a few locks some shammys, a paladin at one point. I have a picture of him I think. I will post it. He has leet armor just so you know. My main was a rogue though I think he hit 55 at one point but I stopped playing. A couple twinks. I really just couldn't keep to one char. Anyway, here's the pic.

lol you kiding. shamans spend only 4 slots. what about hunters? they spend a hole 18 slots for arrows and another 10 slots for food. and mages? or priests? they spend a hole bag for grup buff items. and locks? they too spend a bag slot for a soul bag. :P

Oh sorry I didn't answer this question I didn't see it the first time. The fastest way to make money (at least this is what I found faster) is instead of doing a gathering (herb, mining, skinning) and a manufacturing profession (blacksmith, alchemist, leatherworker) you pick two gathering professions. The two that you should pick is all based on what stuff sells the best on your server. I have never played on Gul'dan before so I can't say what to pick. Next time your at the auction house, check at what sells the most (ore, plants, leather) If you keep the level of the professions with the level of the mobs your fighting then you should be making a decent amount of money. You should (if picked the right way and if you price things the correct way) be able to get your mounts (Level 40 and 60 mount) at ease. The flying mount will be a little harder but it just takes time. I recommend doing everything above and because PvP is just so much fun, go do the daily battlegrounds quests. You should be getting 11 gold for every day for winning the battlegrounds that they say you have to go and win, plus what your getting from your professions. If you keep up the pace then you should be getting a decent amount of gold a week. ^^

for money i grind on the humanoids in the far top right of shadowmoon.. straight north of the horde base... if you have a class without mana (rogue/warr/druid) you can kill almost non-stop.. just bring along a few bandages and your good to go... the only downside is the damn alliance are there all the time!!! grrrr

1.YES, shammans are DPS(damage per second calss) they dont have to tank so armor isnt nr1 thing u would think about.
2) mainly strengh-gives attack power and spell dmg/healing if u took eerm corrct talents that all except healing helps u do more dmg. secondary is stamina or agility.
3)wep buff? if u mean from shamman spells then its windfury wepon.
4)since ur orc u should use axes gives 5 expertise makes enemy less parry,block ur attacks.
5) lvl 40 not sure start doing zul'farrak at lvl 43 or 44 then at 46 47 mauradon

lol You got a point there about the bag space for the different classes. My lock has always had trouble with his bag space I'm just surprised I never thought of those classes @_@

Warlocks I've found to be one of the best "all-around" classes I think. They have a few heavy hitter spells, and some good DPS spells, along with Buff and Debuffs. They have different minions for different situations. Voidwalkers are great for Tanking, especially if you have the right talents. Warlocks can basically be a fill-in for most any position, besides a Healer. If you know what you're doing, you can almost Heavy Tank using a Voidwalker. Neat trick I've found is to use the voidwalker to attack, and of course attack yourself. Wait til the Voidwalker is nearly dead, then use Sacrifice and summon another Voidwalker immediately after while you're Invuln. Just rinse and repeat. Works fairly well against a few mobs higher level than yourself. Not quite as effective in PvP though.

Yeah VW is my favorite pet for PvE. My strat for Locks (and I use this when I'm fighting 2+ mobs at once) Send my VW to attack one, dot the other, go back and finish the one that my VW is attacking and when it's killed go to the one thats dotted and kill it off. It burns through a ton of mana so if you don't have any mana potions during battle you'll have to use your wand of just start attacking it with your main hand weapon.

For PvP, and mind you I hardly ever PvP on my Lock, I use my Felhunter. Since he has the Shammy spell "Purge" it really comes in handy. If I'm not using him I'll use my Succubus and use Seduce on my target then start attacking something else. My slogan in PvP is dot dot fear!! lol

i think rogues/mages are the easiest to level.... i had a really hard time leveling my priest... it was my 3rd 70 so i leveled to fast and my gear couldnt keep up... i had to take breaks from leveling him to make/get him new armor

Rogues are insanely easy to level. I got my rogue up to 20 in just a week only playing about 2 hours a day. And hey, for me that ain't half bad lol

I know all of you guys love this game, but I feel as if I must bring something to attention. THIS GAME IS EVIL!! Fun, but evil. How do I know this? I saw God put a curse on it. Being God's personal adviser, I am around him alot, and I saw a dark curse put on this game. Something around the lines of countless hours wasting away from it, losing friends and love'd ones, and finally turning into a WoW Zombie, which could then be sold in the black market for a very high price. Something about zombies thumbs and big toes having supernatural powers. Truly a horrible curse. Ah, but there is a cure for it. All you have to to is watch a squirrel, a monkey, and a moose eat cheese.

lol Lee you are right that the game is "evil" but only if you don't know when to stop and realize that it's a game. I know there are a ton of people that have lost loved ones and friends because they wasted their life on WoW but thats because they didn't know to stop playing and admit they have a problem with playing too much. I have a 70 and have leveled a ton of my friends characters to 70 and have gotten gear and yet I still have a real life.

This is what I would do and this is for those of you who want to play the game but don't think they will because they'll get addicted. Play for just a few hours a day like I do, I only play for 3 hours a day possibly less. On the weekends play as much as you want, if you have raids do them on the weekends and on days off from school/work. This may not be the fastest way but it sure beats the heel out of destroying your life playing all day everyday.

In response to, "Losing friends and loved ones" even though it's true and I know some of you have, I have kept all of my friends from before starting to play and I have kept a girlfriend.

Remember the key to playing this game and keeping a good healthy life, is self control. Lee I'm not trying to sound like a smart-ass and just arguing, just stating my opinion since the subject came up.

I had a crazy group in SM Armory today with my paladin. We had a stupid warrior, slow brain who pulled 2 or 3 groups together sometimes, the rogue was pulling and tanking O_o we had a lvl43 resto shammy who rarely healed but he dpsed so i got only one choice-> sometimes heal with my retri pala! (who had half mana than the shammy who was RESTO!!! after the second death i said thats enough for me oh the 5th member was normal

mining is the best i think. you can sell a stuck of copper ore for 2g even 3g. imagine tin or mithril afterwards. and at lvl 70 you can mine adamantite ores, give them to jewlcrafters and they will prospectate em for blue gems wich cost like 50g+.
and herbalism is really nice but at lvl 70. since herbs are used alot by raiders for pots and stuff. herbs like fel lotus (flasks) dreaming glory (flasks,elixiris).
you can even make money with your cooking profession by making food that gives buffs, that also needed by a raider.

Shaman question:
1. Is dealing damage more important than having more armor? I just started dual wield and i do tons of damage, i even defeated a 43 paladin at level 40.
2. What stat should i focus on if i'm a enhancement shaman?
3. What the best weapon buff?
4. what kind of weapon should i dual wield? and what speed it the best?
5. what the best instance for a level 40 orc?

1. it is more importan to deal more dmg ofc. the fastest you get the mob down the less dmg you get.
2. as an ench shaman you should focus on geting strength agility stamina intelect.
3. of course its windfurry. a lvl 40 shaman can do the best dmg out there, but as he lvl's things change.
4.you should find a slow weapon for both main and off. remember slow wep.
dont get fast weps cause your losing dmg. People think that fast wep more wf's. well not true. cause wf has a cool down of 3 sec so it wont proc faster and after the wf procs it wont be any high crits since its a fast wep.
5. best instances for lvl 40 are SM cathedral and uldaman. after these you have to go 44 for ZF then 46-48 for maradon and 48-51 for sunken temple, and goes on.

Well what do ya know, theres actually someone who thinks Runescape is better then WoW...Runescape, in my opinion, is the worst game in the world...crappy graphics, bad play style...it's just over all bad lol. WoW is the king of online video games.

Supersaiyu, for rogues do this:

Combat/Assassination=PvP pwnage
Subtlety/Combat/Assassination=pure pwnage (in my opinion)
Subtlety=PvE pwnage

Also a combination of those will work for PvE depending on your group.

I will still be cosplaying (just the costume no play) as my Dreneai Mage and my boyfriend wills till be the Troll Shaman. I have a family member working on the outfit now and I have to but my prosthetics and makeup soon.

1. use on both hands slow weps. dont use on main hand fast and off slow, rogues do that. your a shamy you need high windfury crits. even if you put fast weps as duel wielding you wont do more windfurys since wf has a 3.5 sec cooldown. so get 2 slow weps with alot of dmg so when your winfury procs you'll do some nice dmg. its kinda hard to explain, hope you understand what im saying :>


2. well if you aim to score 2000+ arena rating or start some pve go resto cause your gona find a guild easier. as for elemental, its a nice spec but i never liked it, with elemental you can actualy pwn everybody, but with enhance you can pwn only clothys. go elemental if you wana do some arena like twice a week and some pvp. and if your lucky you might find a guild that needs a elem shaman

3. teach you what m8. just go on the site where you downloaded it and read the tips about it.

Yeah, I stopped playing my 70 pally since there was nothing much to do. My brother who used to go run little 5 man instances with another one of his friends (and myself of course), he doesn't play hardly at all, mostly because theres nothing left to do in TBC. The most be could do is go run a few raids and try and get a few upgrades to his gear (though he really doesn't need it) or go play Arena. The only problem is, the most of the people that are left playing are those that are low level and those that aren't low level, are the super fantastic I'll-kill-you-in-2-hits kind of people and it just doesn't have the same amount of fun anymore.

Being a n00b always sucks.
9 million people play it so it isn't an awful game.
It takes some time getting used to.
Especially when you're just starting and get those boring beginning quests.
When you reach 40+ thats when the game starts getting fun. Since you're able to ride a mount and at least be able to hold your own against other players. If you get the expansion TBC then it gets even more fun. But you will need to be 58+ to go to Outlands and at 70 you will be able to purchase a flying mount.
My point: Being low level always sucks so don't judge the entire game based on the beginning.

Yes, either that or just kill the monsters that spawn in your area until you are able to move onto the next area. I recommend doing the quests..its less boring than killing the same things. When you reach around level 15 you will be able to start doing dungeons or instances which makes leveling a lot easier. And the bosses and monsters in the dungeons sometimes drop decent gear and weapons for your character. Like illuma said the game will become less boring if you get people to play with you.

It is very easy to level up since the last patch. You cna easily level up 2 levels a day if you play 3 hours and dont getted distracted.

That's true.
I am just talking out of experience since when I just started playing WoW it took me forever to level. Now that I've been playing for a while leveling takes a lot less effort when you already know where to go to complete a quest and where to get the best items.

lol you kiding. shamans spend only 4 slots. what about hunters? they spend a hole 18 slots for arrows and another 10 slots for food. and mages? or priests? they spend a hole bag for grup buff items. and locks? they too spend a bag slot for a soul bag. :P



If you want to complain about bag slots - play a Tanking warrior , when you need to DPS cause its suggested you use druid to tank tidewalker , plus you need to carry frost resist gear for hydross , plus other pieces of tanking gear to modify your stats for certain boss fights + trinkets and other shields...it takes up like 2 bags to hold it all its pretty retarded.....

Warlocks I've found to be one of the best "all-around" classes I think. They have a few heavy hitter spells, and some good DPS spells, along with Buff and Debuffs. They have different minions for different situations. Voidwalkers are great for Tanking, especially if you have the right talents. Warlocks can basically be a fill-in for most any position, besides a Healer. If you know what you're doing, you can almost Heavy Tank using a Voidwalker. Neat trick I've found is to use the voidwalker to attack, and of course attack yourself. Wait til the Voidwalker is nearly dead, then use Sacrifice and summon another Voidwalker immediately after while you're Invuln. Just rinse and repeat. Works fairly well against a few mobs higher level than yourself. Not quite as effective in PvP though.


Warlocks are a terrible class, they lack anything helpful past soulstones and healthstones - all they bring to raids are that , if you want a DPS class you bring a mage - they are the ultimate raid utility class, with the addition of mana biscuits they improve raid efficiency , they have polymorph , aoe damage , the ability to lose threat temporarily as compared to soulshatter where if you went overboard with SOC you're dead no matter what. I agree with some of that but not all. I've raided with and as a warlock and it went just fine. However when I was with/on a mage, we did pretty well, but I was always OOM. The nice thing about warlocks is of course the healthstones and soulstones, but of course the pets. Now, I agree that the VW fails, but then again, that's not the only pet to bring out in an instance. I personally use my imp all the time in instances. Of course, if we're short a tank then I'll be more then happy to throw out my VW and give the healer a hard time, but other then that, I use my imp and it works really well. Back to the "me as a mage going OOM all the time", everyone else that I know that raid as mages have the same problem. Whats nice about warlocks, is they can dot their target which costs very little mana, have their pet attack said target along with the tank, and just stand there, re-dotting. Though of course, there is the agro problem when dotting the target. I have had that problem many many times and have died because of it, but if ya do it just right, then it'll go smooth. Though I hardly ever do it just right. XD Since I'm with friends I'll always wipe the group on the first boss just for the hell of it.

orcs are a really good race for locks but you get to save money on respecing because to get the max dmg you have to go demo and stay demo and the extra spell power from blood fury rocks in raiding. i got a 70 mage and warrior and im working on a huntard and a blood elf lock. i like the blood elves because its a blow to your pride when you get fear bombed by a lock and to make it worse the lock is an abercrombie and finch model

So, now that the new expansion is coming out, I'm wondering what all you guys' plans are when you get it. Are you going to do the awesome run from 70-80 in Northrend, or are you going to go back and start a little Death Knight and level it up to 80?

I personally am going to level up my 70 to 80, and when I'm done that, Imma make me a Death Knight.

Also, I was playing a few hours ago, and I heard some people talking. They said that in this new expansion, PVE gear is going to be easier to get. Meaning, you wont have to run 40 man raids to get the best gear in the game. However, I believe this is just a rumor, but what are your thoughts on this? Is it a good idea to make it easier to get PVE gear in the new area, or is a bad idea?

I'd say this deserves a separate thread, but I'll go in order of the questions regardless.

I probably won't start a Death Knight immediately. I have plans with a small group of mainly RL friends to start a new guild on a server with a few of our transferred characters. I'm looking forward to exploring the new content and running the new instances with an organized group of friends all the way up to 80.

And as far as the rumor goes, as you know, we haven't had 40 mans since before BC. It's true that they're simplifying the objective to gaining PvE gear with the new setting of having all normally 25 man instances set to 10 man instances.

But it's already been stated that (obviously) the 10 man gear will be below the quality of normal runs of 25 mans. So I'm not particularly worried.
