As for the expansion...

I played from original closed beta till the beginning of this summer. After.. geeze, what, 4 years I felt it was time for a break. Originally I planned to go back and play in the next expansion, but I don't think I'll even do that any more. I fiddled around in beta about a month ago and just... didn't care that much any more.

Oh, and as for characters, I have several level 70s, but only my rogue is worth mentioning (gnome, full t6, set of warglaives).

I played WoW for 7 or 10 months and man was it addictive, but i haven't played for like 4 months now. Think I'll return to my old guild next month...not sure. I had a lvl 70 mage(helped everyone with everything...Mr.Generous type of person) with epics,flying mounts,etc. and couple of lvl 40s. When i was lvl 69 i remember staying up for two days trying to hit 70(2 No Fears,1 SoBe,half a Rockstar,1 Full Throttle, and 1 Monster) and afterwards i decided i needed to give the game a rest for a while...turned into 4 months lol.

The patch in general is pretty great from an overall standpoint. I think blizz went a little overboard with the content nerf. (30% easier leveling. 30% less HP on instance mobs). Also, PvP is terribly unbalanced now.

But I suppose as far as raiding goes, I'm content with titan's grip.

FUCKING PALLYS ARE RIDICULOUS OP YO. pisses me off so bad. rogues got some GG shit imo; however because you people keep QQing about "oh, shadow dance is too OP blah blah" bitching all the time, blizzard went and nerfed it. TYVM, stupids. druids have ridiculous crit & heals. and warriors just got nerfed the crap out of xD. I was running some battlegrounds, and i see a fucking 63 running around. I was like "are you serious? tf is a lil 63 doing in my battleground" and found out the bg was lvl 61-70. It actually makes sense if you think about it (the 80s are going to be isolated), but it still kinda pisses me off atm about bgs mixing 70s with 61s...

WoW has been my obsession for quite some time now. I started playing the game a few months after it came out, because my b/f at the time bought it for me and volunteered to pay my monthly fee. I quickly leveled a warrior to level 60 and by the time I got there, my guild set me as main tank for Molten Core. It was so boring! I started a priest and got so obsessed with leveling her, that I only played her for the 3 months it took to get to 60, which irked my man seriously, but her was more than willing to let me step in as a healer once she was high enough to go.
I eventually leveled only my priest to 70 when the expansion came out and started going to Kara, but soon after that my b/f and I broke up and it got ugly. He ended up keeping my account and deleting my characters and I stopped playing.
About a year ago I picked up the game again, started a new account and now have a 70 druid and 70 priest. My druid lives in the battlegrounds as a stealthed cat and I play her whenever I feel like ripping someone up, while my priest is always healing in some instance PUG.

anyways i feel good about WOTLK, well made new areas to find and what not
what i like is the plot being shown more clearly, where in Burning Crusade it kinda ran away from the whole there are hordes of dead people in the north and we are in another dimension why?
at this point i am working on getting exalted with kirin tor and get 16k gold so that i can get that tundra mammoth mount.....so i am becoming a gold farmer, shame on me
with that put aside i like how that blizz has brought back naxx. If anyone remembers, naxx was one of the least ran raid in the classic....but now it is actually interesting. I like the new BG- Strand of the Ancients, I like how there is so many objectives, instead of the straight Capture the Flag, base jumpers, or the kill people until someone wins. And then there is the Battle of Wintergrasp which is epically better than i hopes....easy quests and easy honor, not to mention the incredible items one can get from the quartermaster in wintergrasp
what i dont like is the ridiculous lag i get at times in Dalaran.....i do not think that i never had any problems when in BC or classic, every time i am in Dalaran my lag goes up exponentially.
To finish this i would like to talk about the Death knights.....yes they are awsome. Yes i love how they are a total separate storyline from the rest of the WOW world, being risen to serve the bad guy but then decide to turn around. I am tired however of people complaining in pvp or whatever how Death knights are over powered. GOD FORBID THAT THEY MAKE A HERO CLASS THAT IS MORE POWERFUL THAN THE OTHER CLASSES.

Okay! I thought of something new for this thread it keep it somewhat active. Warcraft Stories! What you do, is post various stories of funny, exciting, and/or stupid. It's pretty straight forward. Here's mine:

So I was playing with Sane today on Coilfang. I was playin' my 59 DK on there, so we were questing and such, and these two level 51 Alliance came up and tried to kill us. They failed pretty epicly. I'm sure they didn't enjoy that. So when they ressed, they tried again. Sadly, no luck. So we left them alone for a bit. Didn't see them for quite awhile. While Sane and I were running back to town, they came again. This time, it was just me. Both of them (rogue + hunter) and they only got me down to half HP. They got killed. Again. I'm still lol'ing about them, too.

Btw, if anyone wants to talk trash saying that a level 59 can obviously kick a 51's ass, even if there are two, you try not playing a melee class for 4 months and being half asleep. >.>

Logged on my alliance BM Hunter and started to stalk the guy trough whole Duskwood. The guy was killed million times. My bf went back to horde and whispered the guy what's up with the raid. He said some crazy hunter is stalking him. My bf said really, wait me he will come back with his other char and will help him just tell him where he is right now. He told him. He went back to my hunter and started to stalk him again XD Finally they guy logged off :P

Oh boy, I have about a trillion stories to go along with WoW.

Back when the game first started I was still play with a large (20 or so) group of rl friends from my home town. At around level 40ish we held a bbq, and then decided to go and try to take over some horde city (keep in mind, this is the original game, and no one had even hit 60 yet). We go and raid Grom'gol in STV, and the lvl 55 elite guards are totally swarming us. We finally get it down to a managable number outside of to town, when in the corner of my screen, I see my friend's hunter pet just running straight into the middle of Grom'gol, and about 10 seconds later a wave of 30 or so guards streaming out to wipe us.

Good times indeed.

I did just get Betrayer of Humanity, so that should be a rather large boost.

PvP makes WOW IMOThe amount of PvEers make up a far larger amount of the playerbase than PvPers. Don't get all elitist, a good game needs a mix of both to function well.

I'm currently on Cenarion Circle, playing a 16(?) Human rogue. Fun fun. I'm completely torn on which tree to supplement my combat spec, though. Good stuff on both the assassination and subtlety trees. Mutilate, Hemorrhage, crit improvements, damage improvements ... *scratches head* Any thoughts?

I've also got a Troll war, human pally, NE priest, and a BE warlock--from previous, ultimately hindered attempts at playing WoW--which I plan on leveling further, or starting over entirely. A couple different servers. Not sure which I'll choose to play on if I start over. *shrug*

Yay, scholastic distractions! ^_^ Assasin is very fun because you be able to burst down mob and player in lightnning speed! But for leveing combat is better because of aoe and constant dmg.

As said before, Salt. You're going to want to level as combat. When you hit 80, Assassination will be the best spec (at least, currently. Who knows what patches will bring) Combat is just very level friendly with its simplicity.

And Supersaiyu, again, Arcane Mages were nerfed in the latest patch. The video is likely pre-patch. Just look at armory profiles--you'll see that most mages have switched to frost now.

I don't quite get what you mean with the BG term--since PvP isn't based around battlegrounds. I'm hoping with the viper sting nerf and explosive shot/T.N.T. nerf next patch things will get more balanced with hunters--but at the same time they're getting a nasty Kill Shot buff that will be problematic...But let's face it, Death Knights and Holy Paladins are HELL in comparison.

Basically, it's Alliance races versus Horde races (Just think about the common shit of orcs vs humans. The deal with elves, trolls, dwarves, gnomes--all that stuff.)
Versus...well, all evil forces in the world like Demons and the Undead. To go into detail requires pages, honestly. WoW lore has gone a long way.

I suggest starting off with a class that's easy to utilize for leveling. Rolling a hunter is always noob-friendly.
