whos the coolest in the devil may cry games and who was the toughest?

DANTE IS BY FAR THE COOLIEST ( also the hottest) but im not sure whos strongest cuz each character has their strong points. my ? is which boss is hardest out of all 4 games cuz in some cases the 2nd or 3rd boss is harder than the last one in the game.

vergil rocks! he was the toughest last boss in devil may cry 3 and i seem 2 recall vergil stabbing dante a cuple times

Dante is so the coolest EVER!!! But I also like Vergil for his persistence and pushing us to our limits to defeat him. Sparda is my third fav cuz he's just deserves it!

I like both Vergil and Dante, but Lady is pretty good too!

I'm not sure. I've only played the 3rd, and I couldn't get past the boss in the very high chapel, level 3 I think.

Very high chapel? Level 3? Mission 3? Do you mean Cerberus? The ice-type three-headed dog. Yeah, it's hard to fight him the first time around. At the best, use Rebellion's stinger on it's legs, and have trickster or swordmaster mode. Guns don't do much much except put micro-sized holes in him. Say, do any of you know an easier way to defeat Beowulf? He doesn't kill me, it's just always a hassle to fight him.

Yeah, the weapon Cerberus. The next weapon you get after that is Agni & Rudra, the fire and wind brothers. Then Nevan, the vampire after that. She gives you the electric(literal) guitar Nevan. Then finally, Beowulf, recieved after Vergil drops it during your second bout. As for the guns, those are the ones you have to either find(Shotgun, Rifle) or complete a mission 100%(Artemis, Kalina Ann rocket launcher) to get.

Oh, I heard it's also possible to unlock Sparda, the Demon King.

use trickstet mode and make sure u hav airhike also guns r effective but using agne and rudra was easier 4 me

Virgel and Dante are very similar in my book[attitudes and how much i like them] and I dont think I ever beat Virgel w/o Holy water.

W/o holy water? That's easy! The first time around, pay close attention to his movements. If he's spinning his sword to block your bullets, most likely, he'll zoom in on you in the form of blue light. It's best not to stand next to a statue. If you are, the moment he disappears...air hike. The statue will explode beneath you. Then he'll do that Void Slash thing(the one with the gravity balls), so run in a crescent path around him. Luckily, for me, in all three battles, he never used his crystals on me.

After I posted that, I went back to give it another go. And after playing #4, I did do it w/o holy water. But I did use 2 sm vital stars, and 1 large Devil star. But thanx for the advice, Ill try it next time im on my PS.

Dante is the coolest and toughest cuz nobody can beat him and i beat Vergil pretty easily on Devil May Cry 3.
Also Ziggie Dante only got stabed several times by Vergil only because his devil trigger hadn't awakin yet.

I think I had so many problems fighting Virgil bcuz of frustration. I didn't take the time to figure out the strategy for that fight, I just dove in head first. One year (+/-) later, and after playing DMC4, I beat him on my second attempt. Altho I still needed a few items. Will I go back for more?......Undecided.

Vergil is...the type who only closes in on you the moment Dante drops his guard. BTW, has any1 here beaten 2? I've stuck a the Gate of Hell. And in DMC 1, Nightmare keeps killing me. Bullets don't work on him, and I keep getting burned by his lava! I need serious help.

I like Vergil a bit more than Dante (who rocks!)
