hmm.. mine is death metal, and my favorites are cannibal corpse, Nile and Six feet under.. this might give me some insight as to new bands and such....

I never got death metal or black metal. It gets to a point where I can't understand things. =P I prefer stuff like Metalcore, or just Metal, where you just about can understand stuff, like Trivium, KSE, Godforbid or Lamb of God.

i like speed metel alot but mostly metel in general is fun if it has good musicianship (not just the same chords played over and over really fast). Dragonforce, All That Remains are my favorite metel bands

Cradle of Filth is my favorite "Heavy" metal band, but I also like Megadeth, Disturbed, and King Diamond/Mercyful Fate. Altho those are a little off topic.

anything metal, right now my favs or the absence, machine head, cannibal corpse.....really like dethklok, pantera, lamb of god....melodic stuff like dimmu borgir, kalmah,......anyone like black dahlia murder...im seeing them in the summer slaughter tour
