Those of you who've tried them both..........the PS3 and the XBOX, what system do you think is better, and who has the better games for the system?

PS3 will satisfy you more in the end I have both systems, but my ps3 can download anime, movies, etc also it has Blu-Ray which is new video format and will get Japanese games that you could import since it is region free. If you have allot of friends though Xbox Live is a very enjoyable experience you just got to love those crazy ctf moments in Halo with your friends.

PS3 has more Umph, and will eventually out pace the 360, but at the moment the 360 is a stronger system with a wider selection of games and a broader player base

360 is so much better we have both and i enjoy my 360 so much more not just for games but everything i can use it for, only other thing my ps3 can do is cook food (gets very hot fast) guess they are having that problem alot and some places even caught fire and burn houses down >_< and i like being able to play japanese games with friends from home ^^

the 360 has a better selection of games, but I can't stand the controllers. and the PS3 will catch up at some point in games, the 360 is an older system after all. so the PS3 takes my vote (it would, if this where a poll at least).

but wii is the coolest of 'em all

Crymson all that talk about how the PS3 sucks that i've herd out of your mouth and you vote for it based solely on the controller of the 360 being akward for you hmmmm......well its your opinion. i go for the 360 myself because next to the ps2 and ps1 it hase some of the best RPG's i ever played.... but if i didnt already have a 360 and a wii and was only able to chose one id would have to be the wii because its more group friendly which makes playing games more fun in my opinion

ps3 is weak when it comes to games as everyone else has already mentioned. and like everyone else says as soon as more games comes out it will beat 360. eventually....

I gotta wait to get either of them. Though I heard a rumor that the XBox 360 is going to be recalled soon? Meh. I would probably get XBox 360 before PS3 simply because it has Halo3.. However, since I am getting a new computer before I get a new console, I may just get Halo3 for the PC and then get a PS3 so that I can play the many other games that I am eager to play. I am such a Playstation Grrl anyways.

I have both systems and this is a very hard question to answer. So let me try here...

The Xbox 360 has a huge game selection that is full of some of the greatest games ever made (Bioshock, Mass Effect, Halo 3). Also Live is better, IMO, then PSN. It seems to have more of natural feel to it when you are playing online. Plus there is less lag and more people playing. With the Xbox 360, you do get a system that is prone to breaking down, plus recently shelling out more money for it (if you want a good one). It is also a little bit older then the PS3. But it is still a good system and will continue to impress.

Now, the PS3 has Blu-Ray. So the future looks better for the system already. Since it will have the ability to have up to 50GB of storage on a single disc. That can lead to games being completely developed in 1080p, plus massive hours of gameplay. Although the game selection is pretty weak at the moment, it should get better with up coming releases (Killzone 2, Haze, Resistance 2, Metal Gear Solid 4). Also if you wanted to you can use your PS3 as a computer since you can partition the drive to have any OS you choose and have the ability to use a printer, mouse and keyboard. So really the PS3 is a more advance and versatile unit.

I will have to pick the PS3. Though I respect the Xbox 360 greatly. PS3 should push the envelope longer then the 360, unless Microsoft revamps it.

PS3 cause it's latest that it doesn't have that much games, you can use the previous consoles like ps1 and 2's games. I'm about to try putting a Windows OS and try playing comp games and maybe even Halo3!!! plus you can put USB extension put mouse keyboard speaker and all that bling bling of Computers.....plus I can use it as my private DVD player.. I'll also try putting PSP games in it now. I also heard that Tekken6 is coming in...and it'll surely turn the tables of more games.....fighting numbers with quality....and besides I heard that 360 gets broken soon.

Hmm, well if your going action id say Xbox360, even though Microsoft can be really cheap and stingy and times. But for everything else PS3 wins! especially if you love RPG as much as i do, Final Fantasy XIII/Versus is coming to the PS3 which is another plus =) I guess the blue ray is also another plus, personally im waiting for FFXIII to come out before i buy an PS3 in the hopes of it being cheaper, i already own an Xbox360 for Halo3.

An added note PS3 has bad backwards compatibility last time i heard, the Xbox360 is OK but its still no where near that of the Wii. I am thinking of buying one just so i can play the old SNES/N64 games on it.

I just got a 360 and I am glad I did. I was not sure to start but I looked at some reviews and I am happy with my choice the 360 is better and the graphics are better too I think the 360 has way better games too I mean the only game I will miss is FFXIII so I am very happy with it I would recommend the 360 over the PS3.

I'm on 360 as well right after normal computers.

Normal computers are better for RPGs and shooters in my opinion, at thats the kind of games i play the most. They also have far more space than 50 GB, and can play dvds as well, so i only use console for games, and there i like the x-box best.

i heard only the 60gb ps3 have backwards compatability
the new ones dont have that feature anymore
my choice would be the xbox 360 for now because of the greater game selection

the pse has blu ray, but that is for the generation after. the 360 is the best for now. blu ray wont be put to its full potential til another 5 years. 360 gets my vote it has all the games and plus u cant beat microsoft with xbox live
