byakugan vs sharingan!! which it better?

byakugan is so freaking sweet!! I think its way better than the sharingan and any one who thinks otherwise bring it on!!

Way better? Did you watch Naruto eps 60-62 where Naruto beat Neji simply by coming up from underground? Did you see Naruto eps 81 & 82 where Itachi put Kakashi in the hospital for a week after only briefly being caught in Itachi's sharingan? Or Naruto Shippuden ep 30 when Kakashi used his sharingan to send a large explosion into another dimension? Do you know of any byakugan user who can beat Itachi? Sharingan can be used by merely looking into the eyes of the user. Can byakugan work this way? Is your opinion based on fact or just preference? I like the byakugan too, but based on what I've seen, it's not better than the sharingan. The sharingan does have a major flaw though. The more it's used, it affects the vision of the user. However for sheer power it can be lethal.

the reason i think that the byakugan is better is because it has a wider range of uses for instance during the 2nd phase of the chunin exams kibas team has hinata use to the byakugan to scout ahead of them thats something that the sharingan cant do and also as you stated 1ninja1 as time goes by the sharingan begins to impair its users vision. as far as battle application ill be the first to admit the sharingan would have a huge advantage over the byakugan but against any one else the byakugan users would come out victorious. and also think of all the practical uses the byakugan could have hahahahah!!!!!

I personally like the Byakugan better because i am a big Hinata fan. Shes the most awesome girl in the Naruto series, period. I believe that the sharingan is better though. If you compare Itachi, Madara, and Kakashi to Hiashi, then you'll see that the Sharingan is better.

Mangekyo Sharingan is clearly more powerful 1 on 1, but i think that the regular byakugan is more powerful than the sharingan.

It enables Nejis full defense (can't remember its name), also the divine strikes (which disable the enemys chakra) and enables cutting with chakra, as well as hurting inner body parts (which means Neji's attacks cant really be blocked).

And the Mangekyo Sharingan is clearly at a higher level than byakugan, so perhaps byakugan has an "upgraded" version as well.

Mangekyo Sharingan is better then byakugan..but byakugan is better then the regular Sharingan.

They are not the same at all and they are both good depending on who is using it. Personally Neji is not a reference for me since I think he is week but Sasuke sucked too with the sharingan the only reason he got strong was because of the cursed seal (Naruto was basically stronger then him without it. The Byakugan lets the user see the shakura flow and points of control and with that can beat any technique with one hit. Itachi has a better sharingan but if a ninja can break his illusion it's just a normal sharingan. And Itachi is afraid of Jiraia who is about as powerfull as Orochimaru which Naruto fraught quite a few times.

So I would go Byakugan (because I don't like sasuke)

i don't like Sasuke either, but you have to acknowledge that the sharingan has better techniques that come with it. You can copy everything you see and then use it. Byakugan just lets you see everything and the inner coils. if the Sharingan lets you see stuff in slow motion then the jyuuken appears absolutely useless.

Have to agree with the fact it depends on whos using either one of those techniques, but all in all while the Bayakugan is far more versatile in it's uses the Sharingan is far more combat effective in my opinion.

Fallenlife, I do agree that the byakugan has more practical uses. At first I thought you were speaking on terms of sheer power. I guess it depends on the user. We haven't seen any of the adults use the byakugan. I wonder what it's like with an experienced user like Hinata's dad. You are right in the sense that it has more useful applications.

Yeah it's true we don't see the Byakugan used by an adult. But the sharingan we get to see it used by Itachi and even with it he is still beatable.

something else i thought of is difference in chakra consumption between the two if look at it in terms of techniques the byakugan uses less chakra which means they can be used for a longer period of time where as the sharingan techniques use up large amounts of chakra and have a larger amount of recoil if overused and if you look at it from a tactical standpoint given enough time the byakugan could dominate the sharingan in battle

Don't forget that Sasuke is training to use it 24/7 (like Goku with the super saiyen). He has his sharingan on all the time you can see it in the episode.

but sasuke is usin the regular sharingan and if u look at itachi he always has his activated with his upgraded version but usin it takes away his eye sight id say the byakugan wins especialy if it has a better version

sharingan all the way!, its just so much better for fighting, true there are weakpoints like the eyesight, and the energy, and all that but the byakugan even though has great abilites as well isnt as focused on fighting, and fighting is a major thing for me, so uh yea sharingan!!!!

Very early in the anime, someone said that the Byakugan was the strongest eye technique users. Sharingan came second. Both are still very cool though

You are wrong the byakugan is excellent for fighting. You can tell just by seeing the fights with it and how practical it is as well.

The only real fight you see with them is with Neji and Hinata and they barely fight at all. they also aren't very exciting, ok Neji vs. Naruto was pretty cool. Its not as exciting when Sasuke fights Naruto, but then again not most fights can live up to that one.
