I just saw one and it insulted my intelligence dearly.

Well ~ the people who make commercials have to consider the average level of intelligence of tv viewers ~ which is, unfortunately, rather low. It's definitely annoying! Luckily for me, I don't have a TV at my apt and I watch my fave shows online sans the mindless commercials.
