what type of anime character do you love in an anime???

Kyon from the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya!!! He's the funniest character ever, but except for him i'm more for evil or dubious main characters, like Yagami Light from Death Note, Grim Reaper (Hei) from Darker Than Black or Rock from Black Lagoon.

I think you need all of the characters to make a good anime. It seems like lots of the animes I watch wouldn't work without all of them counterbalancing each other. I guess on a personal level though...the crazy one with no real value to anything, like Ed from Bebop.

i prefer the one who's not so strong at first,but he/she becomes stronger and stronger as the episode is ongoing.And i also prefer the one who protects his/her friends and always willing to sacrifice his/her lifes for the sake of his/her friends.

To make myself sound like a nerd.. a Chaotic Good character. I would have to go with Yusuke from YuYu Hakusho. I like that he acts like a total punk all the time, he protects his friends with everything he has and he does have a real heart, but when it comes to beating the hell out of people, he really shows no mercy whatsoever.

If I had to pick one I woul choose Mai from Kannon. Even though she is cold to people after getting to know her she is very kind and caring person. At night she stays behind in school and fights off deomons. Being too sincere to say anything and knowing that no one will believe that there are demons in the school is a weakness for her. It's always funny when she punishes someone who makes a playful joke about her by giving them a light karate chop in the head. She is the one on my avatar.
