Wheel of Time Anime/Movie(s)

What would be better doing the Wheel of Time as an anime or a movie? I'm leaning towards an anime series. I think that way will be easier to do the necessary FX and keep the characters from aging to much over the production time.

What are your thoughts?

i say an anime series would work unless you want several movies, maybe more, but itd be easier to drag it out in an anime series, which, too, would work well into the numbers that Bleach seems to be reaching at this point, itd be cool to see a new art style given to an old story, even though i dont know all of it

A coworker and I had discussed this the other night. After several hours we decided that the only way to REALLY translate the books(14 as of a few days ago, including prequels) was an anime of at least 150 - 200 eps, if not more. The books range in length from 800 to 1000 pages each. Thats a lot of material to cover. If it was done in live action ......... I don't want to think of the number of films it would take to do it justice.

if thats the only number you'd give it for episodes id say each ep would have to be 45 min or so, like GTO does in that anime

I'm sure that it would take more. Probably many more. 150 - 200 just came to mind as round numbers to use for the thread.
