Nintendo has revealed a new model for the recently released DSi, called DSi LL. The major change is that both screens are almost a whole inch larger in both directions, with 4.2 square inches. The link helps also by showing the original screen (Represented by dotted lines in the image) with the new model.
Do you think you'd get it if you haven't gotten a DSi already? Does it seem worth your money anyway?

I didn't get a DSi in the first place, and I won't get this. My Lite is more than good enough.

I raged when I heard this was coming out because I got a DSi on launch day and now they are just going to come out with another one a year later. I'm wondering how the picture will look since they say it has the same number of pixels but on that larger screen. I seriously think Nintendo needs to cut it out now with these rehashes though. Either come out with a real DS2 or a new Gameboy, or take all that money and development and put it into making new real games that aren't casual garbage.
Of course I'll still probably get a DSi XL since I collect everything Nintendo...

What the hell nintendo, seriously? Why can't nintendo actually make something half decent on their fist attempt and leave it at that instead of these pathetic "up grades". I used to love nintendo but stuff like this is making me hate them. very much so.

Uh Nintendo has been doing this sort of thing for a long time.
Game Boy -> Game Boy Pocket -> Game Boy Color.
GBA -> GBASP -> GB Micro.
SNES -> SNES second model.
Etc.
Not to mention Nintendo DID release something half-decent, actually just plain great, with the original DS, and the Lite was a fantastic upgrade. The DSi wasn't too bad of an upgrade either. This new DSi is a bit silly, I'll admit, but until now Nintendo wasn't really doing anything different from what they've done in the past.
tl;dr you're overreacting dear.

I'm not saying nintendo hasn't done anything good at all, and yes I know they've been doing it for quite some time, the fact is though the DS or rather the DSi could have been done properly the first time. Instead of this chain.

Or, you could see it from the hardware developer's side of view and notice that it's hard to know ahead of time any major issues or things that need improvement before it's released.
..... Or I guess you could say that they want to get people interested in the main model first and foremost, and hold off until sales drop to entice with a new model, with the original priced down to help garner even more sales.

Sounds like someone only buys first-party games or something. The DS has a surprisingly huge library of great games for a handheld, actually.
