Someone recently posted about how Disney purchased Marvel Comics, adding the likes of Spiderman, the Hulk, Captain America, and more to their control. Well, now they have purchased Wideload Games, and the founder of Bungie Studios, Alexander Seropian.
Oddly, I can't see how much success Disney will have with owning a game studeo instead of allowing their intellectual properties to be used by developers.

Disney already has a game studio. They have for a very long time. This just happens to be another one they'll now have.
Nothing will change about the games. Disney's just going to be making more money now.

I fucking hate Disney now. Back in the day, they were awesome with Lion King and Alladin and whatnot, but now, they have nothing but 12 year old sluts running around. Death to Disney! <.<

Yeah fuck Disney, America doesn't need Spirited Away or other Studio Ghibli films, or quality Pixar animations, or anything!

I've always loved the old Disney animated movies, and I look forward to every excellent Pixar release. I just can't stand that terrible Disney channel garbage that becomes insanely popular (Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, any show on there at this point) and gets shoved down my throat.
These purchases were a great move for Disney so long as they allow the companies to keep doing what they do. If they just keep their hands off, these guys will make lots of cash. Their money will just roll in and eventually they might just consume another media conglomerate or two and we'll all live in a happy world true to Walt Disney's original intentions of world domination.

well, as much as you guys seem to be hating this, i say we should just wait and see what happens. for all you know something good could come out of this (i'm not sure what) but the situation does seem odd to me.
