~ (Ryu is a character from a story that I wrote over a year ago. He was killed the night before he got married.) ~

I am here
I am there
Not in body
but in Spirit.

I am the light, the moon reflects.
I am the star's twinkle, in the clear night's sky.

I am the whisper in the wind
the call of the wild
the echos of the forest.

I am the ripples of the water
the shadow that walks behind you.

The pitter-patter of creatures
the paw-prints in the snow
the footprints in the sand.

I am the angel in heaven
watching over you day by day.


I am not the sparkle in his eyes
when you tell him “I love you.”
I am not in the kiss, each time he kisses you.
And when he holds you close at night
that's certainly not me.

But I am the guardian
in the sky above.
Who watches as you grow.

When you smile, I'm in your smile.
When you laugh, I'm in your laugh
And when you cry, I'm the one
who wipes your tears away.

My life was not eternal
but my love for you is.

I am here
I am there

but in spirit.
