Once there was a child born
a beautiful life made
from the love of two people.
Everyone said
that they had been blessed
with a wonderful gift
from God.

These two people
beleived this
as they watched
this child grow.
As yet unaware
of what the
future did hold.

For they smiled
and they played
with their hearts
full of love
for this child
that they thought
was a gift from above.

After four short
months their souls
it did kill.
When they woke up
to find
their child lying still.

When the Doctors told
them their gift
was now dead.
That moment was forever
burned in their head.

Angry at God
for playing this Joke.
To not wake either
as their
precious child choked.

Micah will be
in my heart always
even though he
never spoke
the words "I love you daddy"

After reading this several times, I feel like words just aren't enough, but I will say that you are strong. You endured something as awful and damaging as this, and your alive. Everyday means something.
