I hear people laughing,
I see people dancing.
The green-eyed monster,
Climbs my shoulders.
He whispers in my ear,
“Why are you alone?
Why are they together?”
I can see reason,
In his words.
I wonder,
“Why are they different?
Why do they have someone?”
During the years,
There have been people,
Who say they like me.
They say they care,
Pull my heart,
Out of my chest,
And treat me like dirt.
I wonder,
“Why they treat me this way?
What did I do?”
My heart feels heavy,
Like a stone.
I feel bitterness,
I feel lonely,
And I feel jealous.
