Between those two, I'm going to have to say Playstation 3.
Putting the games aside for a moment, the PS3 is simply a better machine than the 360. It plays Blu-ray discs, and always has an internal HDD (which you may have to buy separately if you get the cheap 360). The controllers have built in batteries, no need to buy AA batteries or separate charger packs. Also, the machine is reliable and doesn't have constant random errors that can cripple the system (Red ring of death). The interfaces of the systems themselves are pretty similar, and both do the job well.

As for the games, nowadays a console is defined by its exclusive games. Pretty much most of the games are released for both PS3 and Xbox 360. Pretty much every 360 exclusive game is also ported onto PC, which kind of makes it non-exclusive anymore, kind of lame but Microsoft likes money. Between exclusives, the games are pretty well balanced, but the future looks quite promising for Sony exclusives, Microsoft too. But when comparing the same games on both systems, the PS3 games have better graphics, less load times, and can have the potential for more content due to the Blu-Ray. Microsoft is struggling to fit 360 games on their dual layer DVDs which can hold about 9GB, while the Blu-Rays can hold 50GB. Also the PS3 can play any PS1 game and (sometimes) PS2 games. 360 can only play certain Xbox games and needs an annoying update to do so for each one.

And the aspect where I don't care too much about but seems to be a big factor is online playability. Playstation Network vs. Xbox Live. PSN has an advantage right off the bat with it being free and no subscription required. Other than that the services are pretty identical with online play, and downloading games. Xbox Live does have a more robust community with the voice chats and parties and stuff which a lot of people like. Taking that into account, Microsoft has better online playability. As for me I don't have interest in playing online, just downloading games on the service.

And this is why I prefer PS3. 360 is nice too and I was considering that over Playstation but then they had to go and have Twitter, Facebook, and casual crap at E3 and that changed my mind.

I rather buy a PS3, probably because of experience and I hate the Microsoft "monopoly". As for the games, I wouldn't say Xbox 360 is any less "exclusive" than the PS3, but I agree with the rest, Koopa.

heh i'm too lazy to post why and don't feel like going back to the other which is better console topic just to copy and paste my reasons.::D: 360 games are more appealing to me, and i love LIVE. i wouldn't mind getting a ps3, but there are only so many game on it i would like to get and to me it'll feel like a waste of money if i bought a expensive console and only a few games. personally i really don't care if it has blue-ray or not, my dvd player is a hd boost and came with an hd cord and i can't see the difference from a blue-ray and the dvd player i have. only time i've gotten the red ring of doom would be if i'm playing during a thunderstorm and the power gets knocked out. so far only has happened twice and my 360 still works without a problem.

I would go for the PS3 all the way for two reasons. 1) I've always liked sony so getting the PS3 wouldn't be a big surprise. 2) I don't have any interest in the Xbox 360 games so it would be a waste of my time and money ( which a lot of people these days can't afford to waste.)

The XBOB360 is a pretty god system but it has too many flaws
It can stop working as soon as u get the 'Ring Of Death'
You have to PAY to get online
Joysticks are'nt rechargable unless u buy double AA batteries or the charger
You have to buy a lot of other crap

And it all is'nt worth it

Both.... or else you suck... no no just kidding... but i'll say.... PS3 Then 360 ... because even if you have one of them.... they will have some kickass game that will come out on the consol you didn't buy... so buy them both and start with the ps3...... you will save money if you play online ^^

one reason why the US is in the crap hole it is in now. i wouldn't mind getting a ps3 but there are only few games i would love to get. why waste all that money in to get something that'll only sit there and collect dust. it's like changing who you are just to fit in with a bunch of people who say they are your friends and then stabs you in the back when you need them the most.:oo:
