There has always been a planned Half Life 2 episode 3 which is to be the final one. But constant delays have been an issue.

And no news about a portal 2, but hell with all the love it got it would probably be a smart idea to make a second. But if not it's okay, portal was amazing and a sequel could ruin it

They actually are making a sequal to the original portal game, but nobody knows anything about it. Also, there is supposedly going to be an episode 3. However, after the second episode, Valve ran a poll asking if people would prefer that they make a full fledged game or just another 4 hour game, and I think a full fledged new title won.

I wouldn't know about a full game, and if they are a lot of people seem not to know. Considering I hear mostly bitching about them not releasing their episodic installments quicker. That could explain why it's taking so long.

All the effort at Valve is being poured into the new Left 4 Dead 2, lulz.

Only news about Half Life 2: Episode 3 is: "Expect the wait to be longer than the one between Half Life 1 and Half Life 2." And if you don't know how long that is, you're looking at about 6+ years.

Portal 2 is in the works as well.

I don't think we know yet whether it'll be a full game, or a short one in a valve package like the last game.
