ok i know im new to the forum part of this site but i am curiouse to know what the rep is for? I am going to look it up but figured posting this will also count towards a daily post and give some of you a way to post also. So go rep urself and :dance: mwahahaha wow im bored

It's absolutely useless.
Nevertheless, a good post is worth rep+. A bad one's worth rep- .

Rep points don't actually do anything but it is helpful sometimes. For example, when you see a person with 5 positive rep boxes and a person with 5 negative (red) rep boxes, you'll know who to trust!!! But, except from such huge differences, it doesn't really matter. To get rep u gotta have a good post and a ton of luck for smn to acknowledge it and take the time to give u rep. Most of the times, we actually forget about rep and don't use it... so don't let it bother u!!!

not really. some members used to give posotive AND negative rep randomly and just for fun. so you can't really judge someone by his rep level.

well I like to think I am pretty good at the games which is what allows me to go threw them so fast. but I am willing to waste my time just to get that extra 5 points

It is really just for show. One would think it shows how respected you are throughout the community, but sometimes that's not the case.

well, i got rep....somehow, didnt even try to get it. one was for my avatar and another was mentioning Eureka 7.....i saw it there, clicked on it, had no idea what was going on, and decided it was useless.

Well, before it is closed let me say this, I still give rep to good posts. It's a way to let the other person know you value their work, better than to just say "thx, good post"... But, of course I have given rep for fun a couple of times too...

I've given out my fair share of random + rep and - rep (- rep for teh lulz on one user in particular). I really haven't given anyone any rep unless they absolutely deserved it, which in most cases they don't. Since this topic has gotten a tad bit boring, I agree with my Anime and say, Can we get a "~Le Closed" from our editor or staff?
