does anyone ever wonder where mega video comes up with there time limits? i just got the message once again. you have watched 72 minutes now wait 55. ok so whats up with 72 and 55?

I think they tried to base it around an average of what people might watch. you can get away with 2 episodes of something, or an hour long show, but you get cut off if you try and watch a long movie. I guess they figured it was a magic number. I remember one day it did that to me, but it said I'd watched 34 mins and my time had run out. 34 fn minutes!
where they get the 55 from, I have no idea. I guess that's the average amount of time it takes for somebody to find something better to do.

I think those time are weird and yes they may be marketing but there is no way i would ever pay those prices.

well there are bipasses, of course. It's just rare that I watch over 72 minutes. most of the time I just find what I'm going to watch somewhere else cuz I don't want to be bothered with it.

Yeah, I don't watch it on megavideo anymore. Actually I just watch it on my iphone since veoh and youtube work. I just take nice earphones and watch some anime in bed....at night.

Recently I have been watching a lot of episodes on mega video (past the 72 mins) and to my surprise, I havent gotten the limiter to pop up....so yea pretty cool

They are quite annoying, I just had one pop up yesterday when iw as waiting for one to load. The worst part is when the entire thing loads and you press the play button it pops up. *sighs* so when that dang limit is up most of the time your elsewhere or need to reload it.. such a hassle. Stupid thing, random too.

I agree, I would want money. Do you have any Idea how much a dedicated server costs? For their service they are easily paying 8000 (maybe more)/month to maintain megaupload/megavideo.

I hate the time limits too but I just found a way around it. Like for example I usually watch like 3 episodes of anime and then if I feel like watching more I just waste the remaining of my time which is usually about 12 minutes and then find watch a couple of shows on tv. I just hate searching other video sites for the shows that is why I come to a place like this.

We are working on a streaming solution for megavideo - if it works you'll be able to view the videos from fuel's player with no limits.

Guys it's not that easy to find the sources on a working good player. Most sites that we can stream anime from get the files deleted after a week or so. As I've posted above - we are working on something that will allow you to stream Megavideo and perhaps VEOH (which is now almost dead) from our player.
