Beck?

Is it a good anime? I was thinking about watching it but i would like some opinions on the anime from those who have watched it.

definitely one of my faves. you should really try it out. it's a lot different then other anime but in a good way. I say go for it

It has a few problems, like the animation being inconsistent (great in some areas, really lazily done in others), but if you're a rock music lover it's a great story. Be aware though that the band Beck is rap-rock, so if you really really hate that kind of music, like Rage Against the Machine or something, you might not like the music that much. Granted, it's a lot less angry than RATM, but still sorta the same style.

Personally, I love the anime. It's one of my favorites and I love all the little in-jokes and references regarding real rock music, and I think most of the music is actually pretty good, especially the song "Slip Out."

Oh, one note...watch the dub, not the sub. The sub features really bad attempts at speaking in English and even worse attempts at singing in it. The vocals are simply bad in the sub in general, really. Just go with the dub...it's quite well done anyway, especially the voice of Chiba.
