quietchat

That's right, it's almost summer, and in the gamer world summer means a return of one of the biggest gaming events of the year, E3 (Short for Electronic Entertainment Expo).
This is quietchat, who will be hosting the threads. Last year I put everything together in the same thread, but this year I'll be making separate discussion threads for each of the conferences from the big 3 and one more thread simply for games and anouncements.
Remember, the event officially starts June 2nd and goes to June 4th. Each of the press conferences by Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, and 2 others (Still haven't figured out who the last two are from) will take place June 1st and early in the day before the E3 building is opened up.
For those of you who are interested, G4tv became the official broadcaster of the E3 event, so if you have that channel then you'll be able to see all of the press conferences live along with previews demos interviews and more from the multiple game developers.

If you don't, well you can still see them on the website www.g4tv.com as they are being streamed, just be sure you know the times and stuff.
Other good sites to go to for information are ign.com, kotaku.com, 1up.com, (for the first time) screwattack.com, or you could just wait a month for all the magazine publishers to come out with their E3 issue (But I don't think anyone's actually gonna do that).
With all that covered, let's get to what you actually care about: Rumors, games, whatnot.
What games are you hoping to see at this year's E3 event? What rumors have got you excited? Are you disapointed that Capcom Japan, Square-Enix (And it's new property Edios) Japan and Koei japan will have somewhat weaker showings due to swine flu fears? And what about Blizzard's choice not to make an appearance at all this year? (Not related to swine flu)
And lastly, what will happen at the Big 3 conferences? Will Sony be able to pull out from it's several years of 3 place? Can anything topple the wii? Will Nintendo really focus all about the games this year? And does Microsoft have somthing that will actually get the japanese market interested?

This just in: It is still true that Blizzard games will not be making an appearance, but Activision will despite the merger with Blizzard to become Activision Blizzard (Yes, that's the actual joint name). http://kotaku.com/5271593/activision-reveals-its-e3-2009-lineup
And something I probably should have mentioned: While there are companies that are limiting travel because of the swine flu fears, that doesn't mean they're going to be absent. Capcom for example as a European and American division that will be at the show. The only game that won't be shown at E3 from Capcom due to the virus scares is Dead Rising 2 (Ironically, since it was a virus in the first game that caused the zombie stuff)
