We're moments away from being able to disunite ourselves from the technological world, if even for only a brief moment.
Now aside from trying to make this sound more interesting than it really is, I can tell you what i'm talking about now that I might have your attention.

Unfortunately I missed out on last summer's expedition. This spring/summer will last forever in my memories, be it good or bad, I'm hoping good so I can blot out last year.
A few friends and myself are planning a backpacking trip through a small portion of the Appalachian mountains. I can't say we're complete amateurs, we all have our own experience with being out in the wilderness and we can be a pretty rugged bunch. Like a pack of feral humans striving to survive, only slightly more intelligible.
The only blockade would be cash flow money smacks. Buying new equipment will be costly, not to mention the price of gas, and how much of that a station-wagon or blazer consumes

And this is my big plan for the summer, i'm excited ::D: I love being outdoors. I wish I could gather a small colony and form a village in the mountains. Or at least go out for months at a time

How about you AF? Any experience with the natural environment? Or do you have any big plans?

I really just wanted to talk

Camping is great, I love going hiking for the weekend too, just don't ever get out to do it anymore, in fact it's been a while now, although I try to make up for that by at least once in a while stopping what I'm doing, finding somewhere outside where there is nothing around but the tree's and the sound of wind and water so I can just sit back and let my mind go blank, I love doing that, I feel so much better after it

It is purifying. Such a great way to relieve stress. I agree, when all is done I have a certain energy I can't get doing anything else which leaves me feeling perfect

I love being outside...when it's not cold and snowing. In the summer, I love to lay by the pool out in the sun. And I LOVE the beach. Oh yes, very much so.

Camping, on the other hand, I couldn't do it. I can't stand being away from any electronics. ;>_>

Ariya, I too love laying out in a pool while the sun is blazing

Crubion, I wish I could find someone with a boat and lake, that'd be great fun. I like fishing too.
A couple years back my cousins took me on a fishing trip to lake Erie, I think it cost 400.oo to rent a boat. I ended up catching the biggest walleye :D.... I kept it's head too hahaha

Man I want to go out on a lake w/ a boat again, throw a line on the back and go tubing, I used to do that w/ some friends, we'd run 2 lines off the back end, one person on each tube and do tube fights, trying to knock each other off by ramming and using the wake, see who went off first, I remember ending upside down, holding my breath trying to see a way to flip it back upright before I had to let go and lose, those were great times

Oh it was a blast, you should definitely try it some time, but you need either quality innertubes, w/ or w/o the hole in the center or get those real oldschool giant tire looking ones, those are really durable, but you have to add extra ropes to make ur own handles

I got pulled in an innertube behind a boat before and it was awesome until they started turning and trying to get me to fall and I was grabbing on by one hand as my legs were skimming across the water and i hit a wave and the tube flipped up in the air and i was slung about 10 feet up into the air and crashed down into the water. Actually that was awesome too.

that's part of the fun part, you have to learn how to stay on and upright w/ no experience, you either achieve a very high learning curve or end up wiping out pretty quickly

Sorry, my idea of the great outdoors is a white sand beach on a tropical island, with a hot woman, and a cool drink.
