View Full Version : What does "Katsura" mean?

I've been curious for a while after watching the first three episodes of School Days of what "Katsura" means because they there that it's an uncommon name, and Kotonoha Katsura's younger sister's name is Kokoro which is a common word in Japan.

when googled along with tha word "meaning" you get information that states that "Katsura" is a type of tree
rapidly growing deciduous tree of low mountainsides of China and Japan; grown as an ornamental for its dark blue-green candy-scented foliage that becomes yellow to scarlet in autumn
