What anime have you watched as a kid but now, years later, you've found some MAJOR flaws in them?

Well i would have to say GI Joe is one that i can not take seriously anymore that i watched almost obsessively as a child. I watch it and laugh my ass off now at the slight racism and its sheer cornyness

Almost anything that used to run on toonami/cartoon network. Its not bad really, i just cant take most of it seriously anymore. Outlaw Star, Big O, Tenchi just to name a couple.

As far as finding flaws, i have to say digimon, pokemon, etc, even if it is just cause they're made for kids. i cannot even watch an episode for nostalgia anymore though.

Pokemon and Digimon. At first I thought they were awesome and I loved them so much. But then I watched them when i got older and I found so many things wrong with them.

Yeah definitely Pokemon... Digimon, maybe a little... (I've been watching the old Digimon just recently, in fact).

Dragon Ball Z still kicks ass though. The only other anime I remember as a kid besides the ones I already mentioned is Sailor Moon, but I never even watched that in the first place since I thought it was "for girls" back when it came on TV.

Digimon in the earlier series was good, but about mid-way it started to fail, just like Pokemon. Dragon Ball Z did kick ass, but like Digimon and Pokemon, the much later series had nothing to do with the original storyline and failed.
