A while back there was a thread about watching anime online. Things like how the anime industry is going down was talked about and the fact that many people don't buy anime and only watch for free.
This got me thinking for a while. I know this may sound stupid, but why don't AF start a funding thing were people can donate money to companies like Bandai.

Here's a link to the thread I mentioned.

Really, just think about it for while.

bleh...personally i think this funding wont do a budge on these companies...they have their own huge amount of money they have and givin a bit wont make a difference at all...anyhow...anime industry in japan is far from dying...as people support the goodies[this include printed shirts, action figures, pins, etc etc] and not only the dvds/cds to watch... if in reality online watching is harmful to them, they would have done matters about these things and settle it with their own power and capability...seeing how big their company is and what they can do and what's not...so i don't think this one's really necessary at all...

Anime is a business, not a charity. Giving away your money doesn't get you anything back.

Id rather go out and purchase anime and the goodies and get something in return. Dont worry too much about the anime industry. With fans like us especially like me who spend thousands of dollars on this stuff per year, they aint going out of business anytime soon.

...well,.i dont really think that donation will work!,.

you're a memeber of af i guess because you can watch anime for free,.i mean unlimited anime for free!,.

besides,.animes have loads of stuffs like shirts and gears,.and i've never heard any anime convention that wasn't successful!,.

and last but not the least,.there are lots of anime fans out there in evrywhere you go,.so,.i dont think anime industry will die?,.♥

I'd rather go out and buy the anime..

That an how many people do you really think will donate?
If you say, "well lets make this a pay site where all the money goes o the companies" then what will happen is people won't pay, they'll just go to another site.
And even if we get people to donate, only a couple of hundreds of dollars at max would be achieved, and i doubt that'd be enough.
So as they've said, i think its best if you just go and buy the DVD if you don't want to watch it for free.

As for streaming online. I only use streaming to watch an episode or two to see if Ill like the anime , then I go buy what I like. I dont like the fact that a brand new anime comming right out of production such as FMA Brothers and being able to stream before letting it sit on the market for a year or soo. Thats just my oppinion. Thats why I dont add anime to this sight. I have over 50 or more different anime series full boxsets, could I be nice and show what I have sure, but am I, NO!!! I bought the anime therefore Im the only one who can lay eyes on that dvd. I payed for the producers tallents, you didn't!!!
