Where as I agree that marriage should be between a man and a woman. It is because marriage is an institute of the church and the church does not recognise homosexuality. I do how ever believe they should be able to have a cival union with all the same rights a married couples. It's the separation of church and state, and it makes me angry when people say the government should allow it when they have no say in the matter.

I have never seen any real reason for gays to not have a right to marry. Whether its "normal" or not, I see it as a very simple point, and that is that everyone loves, whether they're gay, straight, or something else. The problem lies within the reality of the typical state government's definition of "marriage." Really, I'd like to see marriage as a state-governed thing to be abolished altogether. Why does love need to be regulated? Who does it really hurt if two guys get married? Nobody, that's who.

But I also don't think the woman in question should be punished for having an opinion.
