If the creators had any interest in making a new series, it would have already come around. Besides that, they re-show all of the series every few years to each generation. I remember when I was 8, watching Dragonball and thinking it was the pinacle of modering t.v. when Dragonball was 3 years older than I was. DBZ is the favorite of the 3 dragonball series, and if you notice that's really all that gets marketed lately.

Once the popularity of DBZ drops and people have started forgetting it, we may actually see a chance of seeing a new series (Speaking of which, they are re-mastering the DBZ series, so it may be longer than that till we see somthing new)

A new series with all the old DB characters... mehh...

Now something that might work... MIGHT work, would be a new anime that took place in the Dragonball universe, perhaps in the future or past, with all new characters. Like... maybe one taking place on the Saiyan homeworld Vegeta, before the Saiyans went extinct, showing their domination of the universe or something along those lines.

They did kind of remake DBZ in Japan by redoing it in HD, re-recording the voices, and cutting down all the fillers, so who knows what could come next. As the most popular anime/manga property of all time, I doubt Dragonball will die any time soon.

Dragonball ended when toriyama decided he didn't want to make any more episodes...but they did anyway. By the end the characters were so screwed around with that there's not much left to be done that would be interesting. Koopa's suggestion might be cool though, but I'd probably want to see something along the lines of the legend of the very first super saiyan. the one of legend from thousands of years before the db timeline. That might make for a cool movie or special or something, but otherwise I don't see the point in more episodes.
