Should we bring back the electric car. I for one think we should. It's better for the enviroment and the build of an all new infrastructure such as charging stations instead of gas stations would create new jobs for the economy.
Just curious on your thoughts.

I would like it if they did bring electric cars back but the problem is the battery life on those things isn't all that long.. Unfortunatly... That and it's not a popular idea to many people in the world...

if it kills our dependency on foreign oil i don't have a problem with it.

huh...i know a electric car is supposed to roll-out sometime this year, but i heard something about the battery lasting a day, or so. could of been a rumor.

I'm leaning toward the hydrogen or solar wagons. Mostly because electric comes off the same as those energy efficient bulbs. they seem like a good idea, but they don't last as long as they're supposed to, and when you're through with them the batteries are a heaping mass of pollution that you can't really do anything with except throw to a landfill. Otherwise they're great little cars for driving in the city, it's just the afterlife of them that makes them a bungled idea.

I have no need of cars because I have wings and fly.

Well, they aven't really fully developed them so technically they haven't really been out and thus couldn't have been taken away...
Tho i think they're releasing some new ones soon, right?

I wish I had wings and no use for cars, but electric cars would be wicked, but as of now the battery life is dismal...so until some advancements are made...i will be purchasing either a hybrid or fuel effecient car...which will also help the economy..haha

Actually car batteries like any battery can be recycled. otherwise you should dispose of them separately from your other trash, because there filled with acid.

Well, if you have the right kind of battery you could probably have it work for a long time. We talked about this in my chemistry class, where when an acid battery isn't running, you'd check and see if there was enough water for the reactions to take place.

I also saw an msn article that suggested that at gas stations you would (instead of filling a car with gas) just swap batteries. Supposing that you can make a battery life longer, and you could figure out a way to measure the amount of charge left, you could pay some money and swap and go. If you use renewable energy sources to charge the batteries, then you have very little waste being produced.

Zip up your fly. Your dorkiness is spilling out.

A true hybrid like locomotives would be best. CSX/Union Pacific/etc trains use diseal to run generators to power elecetric motors that drive the train. Efficiency? 420 miles per gallon.

...i think it's a great idea./

and would be really helpful in preserving the environment!,.♥
