Soul. Act: 1
Vampire: a preternatural being, commonly believed to be a reanimated corpse that is said to suck the blood of sleeping persons at night.
Chapter 1: Murders
The woman’s heels echoed through the streets as she ran as fast as she could, scared and alone which was a very bad combination in the city of Rome. The girl was of about seventeen in age and was only about six months away from her next birthday, she was young and had much to live for but her pursuer didn’t care about these things at all. The young girl couldn’t see here pursuer but she could hear and smell him, the “man’s” yelling and grunting was very loud. She knew where she was going the church was only three blocks away she could see the massive gate that stood at the entrance to the driveway. The effects of her thirty block run were starting to set in; she could feel her body getting weak and she started to slow down. The girls mind began to race as her thoughts of survival filled her head; she began to wonder if she could make it to the church.
But before she could collect all of her thoughts the girl was yanked down and slammed against the concrete pavement. The fall didn’t hurt her but the fear was destroying her mental state, the man on top of her was laughing now he had gotten what he wanted, he had gotten food. “Please don’t hurt me” the girl managed to say despite her being in considerable fear, but the man just laughed louder. The man simply bent down lower to smell her neck letting the girls sent fill his nostrils, the girl was shaking so bad that she looked liked she was having a seizer. But as soon as it began it was over, the man had sunk his fangs into the girls neck to drain her body dry.
John was the police chief of Citta Santo, he was the average Joe in most ways. John had short brown hair and stood 5’8; john was thirty years old and had been a police officer for thirteen of them. He was completely oblivious to the “vampire infection” in the city of Citta Santo; he had been driving when he received the call. It was a normal call for the past few months there had been an escalation in the number of deaths occurring in the city limits. Although most of the calls came from lower Citta Santo occasionally they got call like this one that gave them a reason to visit the upper city. John didn’t like the way Citta Santo was set up; the city was split in two by a river with one side elevated higher than the other. The higher part was upper Citta Santo and there is where the church lied along with the wealthy and privileged citizens of the city. While in upper Citta Santo life was good, lower Citta Santo was another story, it was a scum infested city all the lowest criminals lived in this rotting part of the city. Everyday people were hurt, raped, mugged and stabbed, even the hospital was unsanitary. The police head quarters was there the church wouldn’t let the government build the station in the upper city for they thought that it wouldn’t look right with all the upper class buildings around it.
But there was one place in the lower city that was wealthy, the grand Kalitzburg manor, no one really knows who the owner is, no one has ever seen him. But despite this, many people are seen going into the manor, it would seem like the owners threw parties every week. And even though the church held all the power, they would not go near the manor like they were afraid of it, as if they knew something the police didn’t. In John’s mind they did, the church held all kinds of secrets, the church couldn’t make the laws but it didn’t have to abide by them. But whoever was in charge of the manor controlled the lower city, it was a powerhouse. All the drug lords and gang leaders came to the manor for supplies. But every time the police try to do a raid one of two things would happen, either the church would shut them down or the officers were too afraid. John did remember one raid but it was done by the church and so he didn’t know any details but whatever they were after John was sure they didn’t get it.
He did know that in the raid around one hundred priests were sent and fifty of them died. Almost all of the deaths were at the Kalitzburg manor, but even with all those deaths the church still would not open up to the police at all.
The car raced down the road trying to get to the scene as fast as possible, this is the first call they have received about a girl this young it’s disgusting to think about. How someone could prey on young men and woman is just so evil John thought to himself, the car came to a stop and the officers all got out looking at the crime scene. It was the same as all the others, the body of the girl was laying face down with two bite marks on her neck. John stepped out of the car scratching his head so “so there is no point in going into details we know what happened but what I would really like to know is who keeps doing this” johns voice was strong and demanding he had a good amount of control over his subordinates. The many officers rushed around doing their various jobs trying to find witnesses was the hardest one to do, in the upper city not very many people come outside at night.
The officer second in command was Harold, who was a bit larger and shorter than the rest of the officers and it was widely assumed he had an enormous love for doughnuts. Harold was bald and had glasses and was very proud of his job, “well john it’s the same as always two bite marks to the neck and that’s it really she has bruising on her back and wrists so there was probably a struggle” for a moment john said nothing and started to speak softly “Harold what do you think could have possibly done this” his response came after taking a lot of time to think, “ummm I guess all the rich spoiled teens that run around up here.” John considered this but knew that couldn’t be it and Harold continued “you know sir the weird gothic kids that are all obsessed with blood and stuff” john finally responded to Harold, “I don’t want to think that humans are capable of this sort of thing” the other officers covered the body and one of them came up to john “sir should I call in the ambulance now?” John was about to give the officer the ok but his worst nightmare happened “no need the church has arrived.”

They all looked up to see a solid black car pull up, stop and for two men to emerge from its sides. Both men wore long black trench coats and each had a long golden chain around their necks with a cross on it, the driver was Derrick he had long hair that was dyed crimson and also had green eyes, as for the passenger he was simply called priest for no one knew his real name. But priest had short golden hair and blue eyes, both men stood about 6’2 and were not smiling, derrick was the first to speak “hello John you can just run along now we can take it from here”. John did his best to remain calm “why can’t you people just let us do our job”? But it was priest not derrick, that responded “well that’s simple it’s because we are so much better at it” John wanted to fight but he knew that would end his job. Because in Citta Santo if you worked for the church you were a god, “alright men pack it up the saints will take it from here.”
And for the next several minutes the police left and derrick smiled “now down to business what do you think the age was”? Priest looked surprised “who the girl ummm 18” but at this Derrick didn’t laugh “ok fine umm id say he’s around 2 years old and I think he was desperate”. Priest looks around the street and then he smell’s it, “and he’s stupid to, he’s still here”. Priest ran down an ally way beside the building that the body was lying next to, derrick looked at the girl’s body with sorrow in his eyes his mind was racing, with one hundred and thirteen vampires dead by my hand, this still happens.
Derrick walked over to his car and ran his hand over the hood, which was lined with bullet holes of past encounters. Flashbacks of all the lives he has saved along with those souls of the people he failed, their images filled his mind. He remembered the cries he heard them scream as the vampires ripped them apart right before his eyes, he could recall all of their faces right before they died. But those were the unlucky ones, most of the people he tried to help were saved, but still, the ones that weren’t filled his nightmares every night until he no longer slept at all. It was true that Derrick hadn’t slept in about two years now and this was for many reasons he couldn’t even try to sleep in the enormous cathedral that was his “home”. In fact you really can’t call the church a church for many reasons mainly because of the size it really was a cathedral and the other main reason was the opposite of what one might think.
Few of the members of the church that hold power really care about god or religion at all; to them it’s just an excuse for unlimited power. But the powerful were few in numbers, there was old man Gibbons, he was the head of the church and wasn’t too far from death himself. Second in command was priest who was the best fighter in the church, no one out did him for many have tried, he was truly a wonder his kill record was more than double that of Derrick. Next in line was Sade who despite being third in power was the most powerful in his own way, his family built the church he was born there and raised there. But Sade hated the church more than anyone he didn’t believe in the concept of a god, to him the church was just an object needed to supply the masses of commoners with the idea of “hope”.
Also a thing to know about Sade is that although he hates the church what he hates more is those he considers to be weak, and in most cases these people are woman. Well to continue, fourth in command is Derrick the by far most unique person in the church, Derrick was born in another church near the edge of Romania. After the tragic death of his parents he was abandoned and because he was “unusual” no one was willing to take him in, until one day a group of travelers who didn’t know of the boys condition picked him up and went to live in Santo Citta. Derrick has lived there ever since, at least he thought. Derrick couldn’t remember anything before age fourteen. Lastly there is Tracy, the only female in a powerful position. Tracy’s life is simple she grew up in a farm town outside of Rome until she was nineteen, a few days after her nineteenth birthday Derrick arrived and took her away to join the ranks of the church.
Derrick could hear grunts and screams of resistance as his mind came back into reality, priest was returning. Priest rounded the corner with the vampire in hand; it was a male of about forty two in human years but had only been a vampire for two of them. The vampire was wearing rags for clothes his shirt and pants being torn and ripped in almost every place, his hair was filthy, full of lice and grease. But his eyes, his eyes were the same as all the rest of the vampires Derrick had ever seen. Once the vampire was before him he could make out his facile features, he had no wrinkles on his face and his teeth were as yellow as the sun. The vampire was laughing now; it was an evil laugh a psychotic laugh, the kind that filled your heart with fear and mind with anger.
“Hello you animal, do you realize what you have done” Derrick plainly asked, but the vampire only yelled out words “killed, feed, survival”. Derrick grew impatient “for your crimes you must also share the fate of your victims I’m not sorry to say this, oh what am I saying just die”. Derrick quickly pulled out his pistol and shot the vampires in the forehead five times. “One hundred and fourteen” Derrick said with a smile and he tucked his gun away in his coat pocket. But the victory was short lived, priest was the first to notice “there is one more, over there” he nodded towards a building seven buildings down. Derrick looked up at the rooftop to see the outline of yet another vampire standing there not moving at all, and right before his eyes without blinking the figure was gone.
What Derrick thought and the vampire was in front of him, it didn’t take long for the event to catch up with the priests. This new vampire was taller standing at around 6’2 and had spiky black hair; his eyes were fire red and his face normal all but for one exception. This vampire had the Roman numeral XII tattooed into his right cheek, he wore a black leather coat with a black pair of leather pants that look as if they had been painted on. “Who are you” Derrick asked plainly, but the vampire just picked up the dead body of the other vampire and turned to leave. “Don’t turn your back on me” and with that said Derrick ran after the man who stopped and a second later was gone letting the dead body fall. The vampire was there again standing less than ten feet away from Derrick, “I am called Lokk” the vampire stated. This was news to Derrick he had never heard of a vampire with a name, “who was he” Derrick asked pointing at the dead vampire. Lokk looked at the body and sighed but he did respond “Nivamorda” and Lokk turned again to leave.
“I can’t let you leave” Derrick stated and reached for his gun, “I understand, but you are too weak to fight me Derrick Ioan” and Lokk’s was gone again. “Priest ready yourself we can’t be sure where he will appe-“Derricks words were cut short for Lokk’s had already reappeared inches away from Derrick and jammed his fist into Derricks gut. The pain Derrick was in didn’t stop there a split second later his forehead was slammed into the knee of Lokk, Derrick fell to the ground out cold. Lokk turned to the barrel of priest’s gun, “you will pay for that vampire” priest’s voice was cold as he squeezed the trigger but to no avail. Lokk was gone again and all priest felt was a sharp pain in his chest, he looked down to see a small golden stiletto deep in his chest. Priest also fell to the ground but he was not unconscious he crawled over to his car all the while bleeding from his stab wound. Once he reached his car door he knew where the phone was so he wouldn’t have to find it, he reached and opened the glove box and grabbed his phone. He looked through his contacts list and clicks the one named Tracy and it began to dial, with a smile on his face priest passed out on the street only feet away from Derrick.

Derrick woke up still feeling the pain in his head and stomach, the sound of rain filled his ears and the water covered his face, he didn’t open his eyes just yet he was still trying to remember how he got in this state. Then it came to him Lokk would pay Derrick thought, but then Derrick really started to think and he asked himself how, how could any vampire be that fast. What, are they training themselves now he thought, but all of his thoughts were interrupted by a sudden realization, was priest ok? Derrick opened his eyes to see flashing blue and red lights, the ambulance had arrived and was already taking care of priest. “So you finally decided to come back to reality” Derrick knew the voice it was the voice of Tracy. Her voice was calm, in fact Derrick had never seen her mad before, Derrick tried to move his hand which he found to be easy to do, so with that in mind he decided to get himself up. Slowly he stood and placed his back against the hood of the car, “Tracy how did you find us?” her face was serious now “well you didn’t come back as quickly as you usually do and I got worried. Sade said I shouldn’t bother looking for you, but you know me I’m the only one who cares. I was in my car when I got a phone call from priest, then I knew I had to hurry.” Derrick smiled but he was just being nice for in his heart he knew that something was going on, Tracy left Derrick alone with his thoughts so she could go boss the medical people around. Lokk Derrick thought I will find you I will beat you next time, that is a promise. Derrick yelled out to Tracy “well Tracy I’m going back to the chapel”. Tracy didn’t even try to argue with him she knew good and well there was no point, she just turned and continued to give out orders.
Derrick climbed into his car and started off to the church, it was sixteen blocks away blocks away. Once he reached to massive black front gates which were elegantly designed with the inner frame full of angels and other Christian symbols. The gates opened as soon as his car approached them, he passed through them and continued down the smooth path to the back of the church. The church itself was huge like the size of seven football fields, every inch of the exterior was marble that shown quite brightly. The car came to a stop and Derrick stepped out of his car and proceeded to the back door of the church, the door was made of black iron and stood about eight feet. Derrick pushed the doors open and entered the warm inside of the church; all the walls were made of the same stone that the exterior was made of. Covering most of the walls was the church crest, which was really the Valkrye family crest, Sade’s family. The crest was simple, a cross that was intertwined inside a five point star, but yet it was the most important symbol in the church. Derrick continued walking down the main hall until he reached to dining room, the hall like the rest of the church was lit in a golden light emitted from thousands of candles, along the walls were the church crest banners and the dining room was filled by long tables. The room itself was fifty yards long with six long tables in the center and one long table at the far end or the room that was facing the opposite direction as the six. This horizontal table was the table that all the high priests ate at; all the tables were cherry and covered with Lenin cloth and the finest silverware. Derrick examined the room while he walked to the far end; it was empty up until the priest table.
There sat Sade with all his pride, Sade was in his usual attire which was a solid black suit with red tie. He had waist length black hair that was as straight as any woman’s hair might be and he also wore his gloves, ah the gloves what a remarkable thing they were. The gloves of valkrye, which is the last name of the family of which Sade belongs, allow him to use high level holy magic. Sade’s eyes were brown and in height he stood six feet, Derrick didn’t waste time he got straight to the questions. “So Sade how is your pathetic excuse for a life going, you know one of these days all your sin’s will catch you”. Sade sighed and found a chair to sit in but didn’t reply, this as can be imagined didn’t sit well with Derrick. “So did you set this one up too, you already are in trouble for your past bait attempts”, derrick didn’t like the way Sade killed vampires because the way that Sade did it was more effective but cruel. For many years now Sade had killed vampires by using humans as bait to get the vampire to come to him.
“No it wasn’t me this time it was a stupid girl’s unlucky day, you know that these things can happen by chance”. Sade’s voice was calm but cruel, “I never liked this church or these people that run it, you people are so blind as to what’s going on its hard to watch”. “Well what would you have us do Sade just let the vampire community have the city we have to protect the people of this city”, Sade laughed at derricks anger and continued is onslaught. “You are just wasting time you fool, I’m not going to try and save anyone but myself and you’d be smart to do the same”. “Boys calm down your getting all worked up for nothing” the voice was Tracy’s; she was always the one to calm everyone down. “Now Derrick, Sade we need to find out how to get in to that damn manor in the lower city”, “I thought that we agreed to do that in the summer, it’s only April” Derrick responded. “You people just don’t get it do you, we lost the soul of Citta Santo in the raids and there is nothing you or I can do about that now”.
Derrick could feel the venom of Sade’s words, but they were true, the city was lost, in reality the vampire nation had taken over. But even though this was the truth, for some reason Derrick thought he could undo this fact. “Well Sade it doesn’t matter then does it; we can just kill as many of them as we can until we are all just wiped out”. Derrick didn’t expect his words to faze Sade because he knew there was no such thing. “Well how about I give you some more of that pathetic hope you have”, Sade reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a book. It was an average book nothing special, it had a red leather cover with the oddest of symbols. The symbol was this: a pyramid consisting of the numbers one threw thirteen, the number 1 being on top. Around this pyramid was a circle or so Derrick assumed. “Ok Sade you win, I’m interested what is that”? Sade smiled his evil smirk and cast a look at Tracy who, to his surprise was staying quiet. “this you fool is the answer to all your questions, this is a book I found will I was in lower city you see, it gives detailed information on the vampiric society.
With the knowledge in the pages you could know all of their secrets, all of their weaknesses. But as you know nothing comes for free and like everything else this knowledge has a price”. Derrick was afraid of this, every time Sade wanted something it was never a good thing. “Fine what do you want you snake”, Sade’s smile widened “it’s simple really I just want your car”. Derrick was in shock, this was beyond unexpected, “umm my car that’s it”. “Yup that’s it just your car” Derrick reached into his pocket and through Sade his keys “there it all yours now your turn”. Sade dropped the book on the table and walked out of the room casting a smile at Derrick just before he departed. Derrick half ran to the book, he picked it up and opened the cover to reveal its pages, finally he thought all of the answers, and all of casualties would not have been in vain. He looked onto the pages and all of the worlds sorrow crashed down onto him at one time, the book and all its pages were completely written in the vampiric language, a language that no human knew.

Angry Derrick slammed the book on the table, he wasn’t really surprised for he knew that Sade was twisted in terms of humor, well in all ways really, it was just the disappointment. “Well I think I can safely say that I wouldn’t put my life in any of your hands, except priest and yours perhaps”. Tracy struggled to respond “I uh I mean it was priest you know, that called you guys in out there, I wasn’t really worried at first, because well your derrick. Your basically indestructible, I never thought you would ever need help but when I showed up and saw you guys all banged up like that I really got scared. To think that there is actually someone out there that can beat you and priest, I mean I know that priest is the so called best, but I think that you are the greatest weapon we have”. Derrick thought on her words, they were true and Derrick hated that fact but what could he do, if he left the church it would shortly fall. “Don’t worry Tracy; I’ll never abandon this place even as much as I despise it, I can’t afford to let scum like Sade run amok the consequences would be horrible”.
“You really don’t like him do you; he’s not all bad, you just like to push him as far as you can so he will fight you”. Derrick looked at Tracy and shook his head “No he would be the same; Sade is a vermin his words are a poison that eats away at the weak minded. If he was in charge this place would be burnt to the ground in a week, I do not trust him, I never have, if this war ever goes down to the wire as I suspect it will, he will not choose our side. He spends way too much time down in that pit called lower Citta Santo, I would not be surprised if he had been in the Kalitzburg manor. I really think that he killed Brad during the raids, I can’t prove it but there’s no doubt in my mind”. Tracy stood, walked to Derrick’s side and placed a hand on his shoulder to comfort him, “Derrick its okay, don’t worry about Sade he’s not the problem, the problem is trying to save this city. Wouldn’t you like to see Citta Santo unified into a glorious state again, wouldn’t it be grand if the city could rise up and take back our lands that have been taken by the forces of vampire society?”
Derrick picked up the book from the table and began to wonder what the cover symbol could mean. Tracy saw that he was going to study its pages so she quietly slipped out of the room. Derrick turned the book over in his hands over and over, there was no use trying to decode it. Ah I think I get it now, three years ago the vampires tried to organize themselves. Last time we killed of all the would be leaders, not that they could pose any threat had we let them form. Why wouldn’t they try again, that’s a better explanation that any other. Lokk had the number twelve on his cheek that was most likely his rank. So if he’s twelve that means he is a low rank being at the bottom, how can that be, with all of his speed he was only number twelve. This question stayed in Derricks mind for hours as he tried to believe how powerful the vampire society had become. But unknown to the human world the vampires had already made their move…
The Stella Hotel was not as its name suggested, there was nothing good about it. The hotel was on the eastern side of lower Citta Santo, not many families stayed there because it was a dangerous place to live even compared to lower Citta Santo in general. One may ask why the vampires would target this hotel, simply because the vampires knew a good potential vampire when they see it. The Valette family was not a wealthy family and due to extreme economic problems they had to live in the worst place to be in lower Rome. But the target was not the family itself, it was the child Victor, he had been chosen to be the next vampire to enter their ranks. Two vampires had been sent for this very important task, Kain and Able were there names and they held no care for humans, they would not stop to spare anyone other than the child. There they stood atop the hotel, both looked identical with their outfit; they wore skin tight black leather pants and long sleeve shirts.
Along with this they each had a hood that covered most of their face, only their mouths could be seen. “Kain let’s get this over with, I don’t want to take a long time, I have things to do. I don’t even care for this job it’s such a waste of time”. “Able ill just kill them all except for the boy of course, God says he’s to stay alive. So how we getting in Able?” “Well Kain not threw the front door; we are much too talented for that”. Able’s body became like that of a sheet and in this form he squeezed through the cracks that covered the rooftop. Kain followed him and together they found the boy and this family’s room, the family was all asleep, the boy was on the couch and the parents in the master bedroom. Without a second thought Kain lifted a hand which was covered in black gloves that literally fit the form of his hand perfectly. Kain smiled and let his vampiric weapon manifest around his hand, red smoke appeared out of thin air to take the shape of a dagger and harden itself. With lightning speed he swept into the bedroom and slit the parents throats, “Able do what you need to I’m gonna clear this building of all humans”. Kain took his ghost like form and seeped through a crack in the wall to kill the other residents; Able swooped over to Victor and without a moment’s hesitation dug his fangs into the sleeping boy’s neck. But Able’s goal was not drain the boy but to turn him, so instead of sucking out the blood completely he replaced it with the vampire venom. The screams of the boy were load and they did annoy Able, this was Able’s mission, to turn this boy into a vampire weapon. Able released the boy and stood, to his astonishment Victor stopped crying, and Victor looked up at Able with tears in his eyes “what has happened to me, I feel different”. Victor’s voice trembled as he spoke, his face was now visible, Victors eyes were now a fire red color, his face was flawless his hair brown and in length it was six inches on all sides.
Victor was thin and wore scraps for clothes, Able responded in his calm voice. “Boy you are a devil of the night now, let’s go we have a lot of things to do”. The boy nodded and stood to face his dead parents, “who are those people”? Able turned and held his right hand up to the ceiling, “there just a couple of bums, no need to worry about them”. There was a cracking sound that filled the air and red lightning as it looked sparked from Able’s raised hand, instantly the ceiling and the entire top half of the building was disintegrated. The cold night air fell on them, but to no avail as they couldn’t feel it, Kain had reappeared beside them in his “human” form. “Awe isn’t this sweet, now let’s get a move on, I’m not gonna be the one to get god angry at us”. Able lowered his arm and jumped to the ground followed by Kain and Victor, the three of them began to walk to the southern district of lower Rome, almost immediately Kain started to complain. “This boy is such a weight, because of him we have to walk, I hate walking, it’s for humans and weak vampires”.
04-20-2009, 09:36 PM
Able laughed at this “God walks” he reminded Kain and to that he had no response, they walked for another ten blocks or so when a figure stepped out in front of them “greetings Lokk”. Lokk pulled of his hood and looked at Victor, “So this is the child, hmm I don’t see anything special but what do I know, I’m just the doorman”. Kain and Able pulled Victor down the alleyway that Lokk had came from, thirty feet later they pushed open a door and proceeded in. victor examined this room with interest, the walls were molded, the floors dirty, the ceiling full of cobwebs. The wall paper was yellow and torn, there was one round table in the room but no chairs, also on the other side of the room was a door, black and termite damaged. All these thoughts were interrupted by that door opening and Victor watched as the room filled up with more people, the room was small enough and now it was even more cramped, there now stood five people in the room not counting Victor.
Kain and Able were the ones he knew, the three strangers that Victor did not know all wore hoods that covered their entire face. Victor was rushed into the next room where he was followed by the men, one of the men pulled of his hood, this was Lokk Victor knew this by his tattoo, “There has been a change in plans boy, you will be rushed to the manor for we have visitors”. Victor was grabbed from behind and was tucked under someone’s arm, he didn’t see much but he could feel the wind blasting against his face at such speeds that it would bring full tears from the eyes, but Victors could no longer do such things. Victor might have been young but he knew the layout of the lower city, the manor, in which the men spoke and it was not a close place, but yet he was there in less than ten seconds. Back at the ally way Kain and Able stood at its corner to await the visitor, just as they thought they came, the church. The black car rounded the nearest corner and came straight at them, the car stopped feet from them and the engine was turned off, the doors opened and four priests’ emerged. At the lead was Nancy a three year warrior priest, the others were all in training and had no names yet, for in the church ranks your real name is considered a privilege to own so you get a temporary name for training at captain level.
Nancy was not one to mince words “So you guys are the low level scum that killed that poor family at the Stella Hotel, it must have taken a lot of help to accomplish that”. Nancy had golden long hair, green eyes, was 5’7 and strong for her size, Able was the one to respond to her. “So you’re the one they have roaming down here, how sad to think that you will die without knowing what’s really going on, Sade was right when he said that the church was getting secure in their beliefs”. Nancy’s eyes widened in shock, “Sade, w-what are you talking about, he’s a loyal member to our church”, Kain laughed his evil chuckle, “Yeah and I’m the bloody President of Italy”. Nancy started to reply but was cut short; Kain now stood atop the car his right arm extended, in his hand his vampiric weapon had taken the form of a dagger.
Nancy’s head fell and her body followed, “Now which one of you is next”, the men all scattered but it was too late. Kain finished off the rest of them, but one wasn’t all the way dead as he pulled out his pistol and shot a bullet into the back of Kain’s head. Kain turned to face the priest, Kain’s face couldn’t be seen just his mouth, “Ha-ha not even close to killing me, no your eyes aren’t lying to you if that’s what you’re thinking, look at this” Kain put the dagger right up to the priests face. On the hilt there was a number engraved in it, II, “See that boy I’m second to god, so there’s no way you can beat me”, Kain slit the priests throat without another word. Kain went to stand next to Able again, “To think that their sending these guys at us, it’s kind of insulting really, I want a real fight but I guess it doesn’t matter, no one is stronger than me, save God”.
