Take 'em or leave 'em?

Yesterday I was walking around in the streets at about 11 pm and I heard I loud cry, like that of a kitten.
It caught my attention so I went to check out..
And there I found them, 7 newborn puppies coming out from an open bag like moving trash and crying as pigs because of the cold and hunger.

The question is, take them or leave them?

Taking them meant feeding them, buying them things and attending to their cryings almost 24 hours a day.

Leaving them meant, nothing happened and I'm going home to play cs 1.6 online without doggie crying.


Personally, I took them home. I'm usually a cold-hearted person but.. I dunno... I coudn't just leave them there....
What would've you done?

If it was me, I would've taken them. I'd really love to, cuz i love animals. But sadly, I'm allergic to animal fur which wouldn't let me have one at home..

Take'em to the Humane Society. I couldn't keep them, but I could take them someplace where they would have a chance.

Probably takin' them, but I would never have kept them. I already have a cat so not a good match for a dog, plus I would've given' them to the shelter or something I hate the smell of dog shit and all other animal exhaust, therefor my cat is in the garage.

If they were of the breeds that are smaller than housecats, bark at falling leaves, and you can punt them over a fence, i'd understand if you didn't.

If there were like 3+ of them I would take them to a shelter or find people who would want 'em. I can't keep that many..

Yeah, actually I AM gonna take them to a shelter.. they will be better than here. It's just that I don't know any place for now, so I must keep them until I find a fine place..
And two days ago I talked with a vet and he told me "don't be surprised if some of them dies, that's a common thing about newborn puppies"
I was really surprised since not even one of them died :serious:

Anyways if they had been 7 human babies I would have left them there.

Well I will basically repeat what everybody said; well at least what almost everybody said. *gives a deadly look to Nightmare* So that's why you named yourself like that huh?
I would have taken them and then given them to a shelter or to a friend that might want some! Before that though, I would have taken them to the vet in case they need medical attention. You just don't mess with diseases these days...

Well, here's the situation after two weeks:.. 3 of them died because of breathing problems =/
Fortunately the other four are doing fine, they're growing teeth and munching pretty much anything on their sight =3

Thank you all for your comprehension.. I actually thought most of you would say "I wouldn't have time for them" or "I could never keep that many" or something like that xD

Yeah actually that's what I think too xD I did really have to think about it since you can't just walk into your home with a box full of crying puppies at the verge of death and say 'hi mom' like nothing's gonna happen xD... But fortunately they understood me and we decided to take care of them and they're just fine now ^_^


For now... just wait till it grows up!

Yup they're cute and all, but they were newborn when I found them, and it's a real hard work to keep them, specially that many. But I'm glad you would have done the same I did ^^

well we had 4 puppies born march. gave one 2 weeks ago or something. then this saturday when I got home the other three were weakening so to the vet we go. unfortunately 2 died. yeah they were just lying there saturday night. next day they're gone. damn it. well I went on panic and lost my appetite cause of it. They die and it's too bad.

Oh yeah sure I'll take them. Our place lacks dogs. we already only reached 10 dogs I think. additional 7 won't hurt. especially cute ones.I could sell them at 1k if they're fine and 2.5k if uber cute and keep 2 for inbreeding(yeah incest on dogs work sometimes,and it's their call anyway).

Nice to hear to could take care of them. It's a harsh ride having that many tiny monsters in a household, so I'm sure not everyone could accommodate as you did. I doubt I could, simply because I wouldn't have the time to care for them properly. Under the circumstances it would've been a call to the humane society. tell them where the pups are and they'll come scoop them up and do the best they can with them.
