That depends on the game and the time you're willing to devote to the game, as with Guild Wars I play whenever I feel like it but if I had to pay for it I would of course play more often. But I can agree with that 14.99 a month is a little bit too much even for a good game (and I don't count WoW as a good game).

I don't play WOW since I think it's crazy to drop $180 a year to play a game that I also have to buy and provide the internet connection for, updated hardware and all the other parts for. Just seems to be too much of an investment for little return. Basic Cable is $20 / month.

Apparently 11 million subscribers disagree with you. Keeping an MMO afloat--especially one as vast as World of Warcraft--takes an immense amount of cash.

You misguide people into the thread, bud. This isn't comparing Guild Wars to World of Warcraft--this is just complaining about World of Warcraft.
