Bring back the older animes for the new generation.

I wish the new generation of children growing up could enjoy the animes we enjoyed watching growing up.

If you have children, or family members younger than you, what anime would u want to to watch? If you don't have children, what anime would you like to see return to tv or dvd? I have one that I'm thinking of. I'll give you all a hint, lol. When I think of this anime, I think of "Girl Power".

I don't miss any animes I "grew up on" because they were all bad, in retrospect. I guess I can watch Speed Racer now and again but slop like Sailor Moon and DBZ are just terrible for me to endure these days, and I wouldn't want to put my kids through that one day.

Only in my late teens did I start getting to older anime that was good, on Adult Swim. Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion and the like. I guess it would be cool to see those stay on TV but then again there are DVDs out so I don't care too much.

I might like to see Robotech come back. I just do NOT want them to modernize the old ones like they did with Transformers and others moving to CGI from pen and ink.

none really. there is this one mech style show from the 90's that was huge for a while. and ill never remember the name which really saddens me cuz it was amazing. all i remember was one of the characters (the best one) had green armor and big blonde hair hahaha like anyone will actually remember with that description. they sold action figures too

aside from a few movies from the 90's (technically childhood) there isn't much I'd recommend to a youngster. If I was asked about something from long ago and I'd enjoyed it when I watched it then maybe I'd give it a good review, but old treasure's best left to be discovered.

I'd like to see some good ''old-school'' anime, just to see how it made progress to the ones we see today.. Also what themes they were about, because they surely were different from today to some extent.

I agree with that one. Too often I find myself explaining pop culture references from past things to my kids. Older stuff may be lost on the younger kids. World has changed.

omg im so glad you created this thread thanks =] anywayz i wish sailor moon could just come back on T.V because i really miss watching it sooooo much when it stopped showing when i was at the age of 7 or 8 ^^ but im so glad that i found some good animes site that i could watch it in ^^ i watch all of the season all over again cause it's like forever since i last watch sailor moon it's like my best anime ever

eh... dunno. all those old Animes i watched thaught me some stuff....1. what a bad Anime is. 2. what kinda Animes i liked 3. the basics....gotta learn th basics somehow! lol....man there are alot of old Animes i use to watch....*sighs* (good times....and some bad ones...) lol

well with me it would be the old Gundam series like Gundam Wing, Mobile suit Gundam, War in the pocket, G Gundam, and so on.

Umm. I just suffered through watching sailor moon with my friend. She never saw it and well one of my other friends had every season. By the end i wanted to kill myself. 1 season okay, after that it practically repeats it's self for 4 more seasons.

I would like to see Out Law Star, Samurai Champloo played again and adult swim actually play anime instead of that crap they call entertainment. Oh and Lupin the 3rd for the classic that's another good one.

Of the old anime I would probably only recommend Hayao Miyazaki's movies from the 80s and 90s but then that's probably all of the old anime I've seen :)

I would consider Cowboy Bebop oldschool ~ for me, that is. Definitely a good one. Anything older than that would definitely need to be remade ~ I'm not a fan of the early artwork/animation.
