On Saturday 28th of March there will be a Global Vote and you can be the participant!
On Saturday 28th of March from 8:30-9:30pm you have the chance to vote whether you support the Earth or Global Warming. If you turn your lights for an hour during that time you bote "earth" if however you leave the lights on then you vote "Global Warming". You can still watch Tv and sit on the computer, alll you have to do is turn the lights off. The organizers of this even want to reach 1 billion people this year so please support! :)
Over 74 countries and territories have pledged their support to VOTE EARTH during Earth Hour 2009, and this number is growing everyday.
8:30PM local time, wherever you live on planet earth. Saturday 28 March 2009
::D:I know I will vote! Will you? ::D:

the Statistics will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.
This meeting will determine official government policies to take action against global warming, which will replace the Kyoto Protocol. It is the chance for the people of the world to make their voice heard.
Because many people will be switching off their lights imagine how much power that will save!!

I joined, though I didn't know. This seems like a cop out though. keep everything else in the house going, but turn off your light bulbs. and for a whole nail biting hour. This must have resulted in stress head aches and pulled muscles around the globe, it's so demanding. I can just see someone opening the fridge and cursing the horror they've caused when the small bulb illuminated while juice is sucked out of the wall to run 5 different electronic devices out of 1 power bar in another room. Kudos if you cooperated, but I think they should aim a little higher next time, is all.

this is kinda cool at least, to see a bunch of big monuments turn on and off during earth hour. kind of a bummer seeing nothing else turn off, but at least the big players get some good rep. gotta keep up appearances. I like 15 the most. tried and true devotion to the TV rule.
