That's right, according to an independant study by Fumitsu Magazine in Japan, the 360 satisfies the japanese market more than any other system. They pulled about 375 people for each system and asked what they felt about their systems, and with their scoring system, the 360 came out on top. Mind you this is by people who actually HAVE the system. Considering the sales it's lucky they even found people in Japan that had the system.
That's another thing: Each of the results don't reflect the actual sales results in the country, with the Wii and DS having the lowest composite scores respectivly, despite being the current globally top sellers of the current console generation.
Another thing to remember is that very few people were actually interviewed. If you find 200 people, only 2 of them like pepsi, the rest coka-cola, then you're pretty much saying that 99% prefer coke. This the same thing, the 360 has an audience of less than a million (less than half a million??) in Japan. That means it takes less people to actually affect a percentage point, compaired to the multi-million sellers from Sony and Nintendo. For a true result you'd need to interview everyone.
What's your take on this? Is the survey reliable with less that 2,000 interviews?
