Details have started coming along about Bioshock 2, the sequel to the (2006?) game of the year Bioshock. So far the details give a slight idea of the story. Bioshock 2 takes place 10 years after the first title. This suggests that since Rapture is still operating that our character decided to take over at the end of the first game, instead of going the path of the good ending. You apparently assume the roll of the first Big Daddy ever created, with use of a drill, firearms, plasmids, and being able to use plasmids and firearms at the same time (Which begs the question of HOW when he has a 100 pound drill).

And how will it look and play? Hopefully like this trailer for the original game.

(Note: Takes a while to pick up)

Are you excited? If so, say how much. Love the game, hate it, hope to actually get to the use the drill?

I didn't think they'd actually make a second one. I am very pleased!

I didn't think they'd actually make a second one. I am very pleased! They're planning to make an entire franchise of them, I think up to 5 games or something. They're also making a Bioshock movie, due to be released in 2010.

I loved the first one, the atmosphere of the game was nothing like anything I had previously encountered. My main apprehension about the supposed sequels is Ken Levin, the guy who basically came up with the idea, wrote and produced the first one is not working on the new ones. Hopefully whoever is working on it now doesn't go and fuck it all up.

Haha, well, the way the game ended, I had assumed, you know, that would be it. (That is, the good guy ending).

But yeah, I definitely agree. The atmosphere is something you can NEVER forget. It truly ranks up on my top favorite "grim" and "isolated" games, right beside Dead Space.
