I was just wondering how many Halo fans have played Halo Wars yet and what your feelings were on the game.
I played the demo a little bit and of what i played found it to be a little fun, and very different from what Halo brought to the table. But I cant wait to play more.

well originally halo was supposed to be a rts. i'm not a fan of rts but ensemble i think did a good job. one thing that bothers me it didn't follow the Fall of Reach book with the Mark IV armor. other than that interesting story, and i love the Arbiter.:dancing:

i didn't get too far in the game but of what i played and have seen it was pretty good. and the real time is pretty awesome and i love how you can control a group of soldiers to kill the arbiters
And the Halo books are very awesome but since i did not get too far i cant say yes or no to the game following the fall of reach book

Definitely not as good as Halo 3. Sure it's an entirely different genre, but I didn't find it enjoyable.

I was just playing the game last night. I think Im getting toward the end of the campaign but what I've so far I think is pretty good. I love the graphic movies that are shown before and after you play the game. They keep on getting better and better dont want to say what happens for those of you playing the game. The thing I dont like about it is I like setting my base defents up and even though your able to bring up 4 turrets I wish that you can set up turrets in and around your base as well.

Oh yea I totally agree. Halo 3 right now still rocks out of all of the above but I cant wait until Halo 3 Ops comes out. I cant wait to see what Kind of bad ass online game that will be.

Yea Halo 3 is still the best. And what is this Halo 3 Ops. I havent heard anything about that. Im wondering if Halo Wars does pretty good if they would make it into a trilogy or something like they did Halo although it is all happening before fall of reach maybe not lol.. who knows ^_^

What bothers me a bit is the thought you can do a decent RTS on a console. It's much easier to control with a mouse and keyboard (Screw that though: My favorite RTS games only need a mouse).
This isn't the first RTS game on a console though. There's Ogre Wars which I think is an RTS, and there's also Goblin Commander (right title??) on the xbox.

Your so right quietchat i cant see people enjoying Halo Wars on a console compared to a computer. It would have been better to bring it out for computers but then where would all the fun be for all of us who only play on console ^_^
{and you were right on the name Goblin Commander}

that seems to be the general outcome of this game so far which is horrible and sad for us hardcore Halo fans..

Way too strategic and turn-based for the regular halo series.

i tried the demo and it was ok and i am one of those people who loves to finish a collection, so even if the game is so-so and i play it once i will still buy it to finish my halo collection.

I have the game and finished it yesterday. I've got to admit, I didn't really like it. The cinematics were pretty first-class, but every level was: cutscene, intro to level, build your base, complication, kill everything besides you that moved, outro, cutscene. I may come back for the skirmishes, but the campaign, no. I hated that AI, Serina. Such a stupid smart AI.
