Is there any other anime like eureka 7?

depending on how you want to look at it, the Gundam series, and Eureka 7 are a lot alike in that they both have mechs(duh) and deal w/ the hard choices ppl need to make during their lives, albeit theirs are on a larger and more exaggerated scale, and Martian Successor Nadesico is reminiscent of Eureka 7 at least to me even though it's more of a comic parody of mech animes, I know there is another one I'm thinking of that's similar as well but for the life of me I can't get the title off the tip of my tongue right now

as corwin said gundam is alike even though the story's are wwwaaaayyyyy different. lets see, zoids, tegen topps gurren laggan theres a couple more i cant rememer right now

of recent things, code geass reminded me a little of eureka only because of the mechs, and the whole fighting against a government idea, although in this case its quite a bit different.
code geass seems like a mix 75%death note 25% eureka.

Honestly, it reminds me of Eva a bit. Except you can follow the plot line in E7. The mechs are somewhat similar, but there's some different ideas behind them.

And, I know this wasn't asked, but I also consider E7 one of the girliest mech animes I've ever seen.
