View Full Version : Running out of Threads

Is it just me or does it seem that less and less original threads have been made lately. Of course they are always decreasing, but lately i've seen a lot more repeated and senseless threads around, and then it hit me. What if there have been so many threads made that we are running out of tthemes?
And what will happen where all themes(interesting/useful/important) are used up?
What if we are doomed to dull repeating senseless threads?!:scaried:

What's your take on this?

Well, the debate forums will never run our of topics because the world news is always changing, reports and requests will keep coming, people will continue to have problems, and we willl almost always make an introduction thread.

Games, we're always getting new games, there's gonna be new events. Movies, so on.

We aren't really running out of topics or threads, it's just that there's less willingness to create more, or not enough interest that someone would discuss it online.

Nah. We can still discuss stuff. Not a lot of people on here can discuss politics being as they are too young or don't understand it. It dies out because it's only like, 3 people discussing the topic back and forth.

Such a lull of late. but quiet's attitude seems logical and reasonable. Like a good theory. Like the way communism should work, but it never seems to (no offence russkie and Tov). Granted there's always new things happening in the world that are worth talking about, and there's new anime that come out, and new news (fn duh) on new shows, and there's always emos with emotional dilemas, and undiscovered stupid hilarious stuff to be found...but...instead we're stuck with debates about breakfast foodstuffs and threads of the past being pawned off as new threads.
Things get slow, then they pick up. We're in a trough, we'll be on the crest once more.

Well it's inevitable that as a community grows larger, the average intelligence of the users drop lower and lower... This coupled with the lack of new content on things besides news, etc. can make for a dull forum. I've kind of lost enthusiasm for having good conversations on here, and think many of the users that have been on for a while could share the same sentiments.

But... what sorts of things will the future bring?

Sometimes when reading a thread you can clearly see that most users do not read each others posts and just BANG their opinions unto the thread and leave it there to be ignored and later ignorantly duplicated. I do find all these new 'SHIT vs. SHIT" threads disgusting and they get like 18 replies in the space of an hour.
I generally refrain from posting in the DEBATE and THERAPY threads since I'm still very young and I reserve my opinion in the event that I'm wrong and I hate giving wrong advice but I must say I do enjoy reading analogzero's posts.

they just differ in title but then,.the themes are all the same,.same questions blah blah!,.

keep bullying other specially new memebers!,.♥

This thread is old news as well, been done before, oh I'd say about half a year ago or so when we had A LOT MORE MEMBERS. Don't know what happened to it, might be archived or deleted, but it existed before. At this point, once you notice you either leave or stay. The majority have left and the hardcore ones stayed, like me, koopa, and ryuu to name a few.

Maybe we should think of entirely new sections to add onto AF. :P
Course I have no ideas, but if someone did that would be great.

Maybe we'll get enlightened one day and come up with something worth reading.

It'd take extra thick text book chucked at your head to come up with something new. This would be an example of an epiphany.

I've noticed that some threads are pitiful excuses for topics.

Skimming through "repeated and senseless threads" doesn't bother me. I don't really sweat the small stuff. Life is all about déjà vu. Life is all about déjà vu.

i think that we should come up with new threads with number like the bleach fan club 123 etc

You don't have to post in threads you don't like or if you don't find them original.

If you want something new and interesting, look no farther than the creative writing section. People are always making new and interesting stories and poetry. In fact 6 chapters of my book are posted there... but no one reads them.

Reading short stories isn't for everyone. Most of the more mature and serious members prefer heated debates. Sadly, AF's debate room has been a bit dull lately therefore, it is not fulfilling the needs of those of us that need to have a good argument and can generally be an ass and not think anything of it just prove our point.
