MTV is dead!

Or at least for me it is. I mean come on! its Music Tv, yet the only time i hear music there is during the opening themes of the series.
Also, that channel has not shown ANYTHING new for a long time, they only thing they show now its repeats of Jackass, wildboys, and Viva la bam, which are the exxact same thing. And when i heard they were gonna show some new shows i thought "Hey, maybe they'll finally have something to watch" But NO! All the new shows are the EXACT SAME THING as the old ones, complete replicas.
Long story short, MTV sucks and can't come up with new ideas.

Think of it this way: Everyone knows the name. Music Television. MTV. It has a better ring than somthing like "Stupid Ass Reality Show Television" or S.A.R.S. T.V.

It's been like years since the last time I watched MTV. When I had a satellite TV I've had like at least 4 or different kinds of MTV, from UK, Japan, German and other European countries; not to mention other music channels.
Good, I don't have it anymore. I don't wacth TV- if I want to listen/watch video clips - there is always the internet.

That same thing is happening to G4 it is getting quite annoying. I never really watched MTV i went the line of Fuse (they actually play music). And, MTV never played Metal music so it never appealed to me.

Watching MTV became so meaningless that I actually forgot the channel existed. Someone could ask me a question like "What's the name of the newest show on MTV?" and I wouldn't be able to tell them even if i wanted to. It's really sad when a person bases their music choices on the limited list of artist given by music videos (Top 20 countdown) shown on BET, MTV, VH1, etc. There are so many bands/groups out in the world that make incredible music, but didn't appear on television or at least not long enough for people to catch on to their name. I would go into how "brainwashing" t.v. can be, why people should not depend on information gathered by others, and the importance of becoming more curious about the outside world...(sighs) but i won't.

I so used to watch them as I get up at that time O___O but they stopped showing that too. Now they only show reality shows 24/7 and whenever I want to watch TRL they play a video for like 25 seconds then talk about the artist who sung the song for like 8 minutes. Telling me all these set of things that I don't want to know. :mad: They are really disgusting now. It's just a bunch of crappy reality shows and other repulsive pieces of shit. I haven't seen MTV in a while now because I know what I would find if I look there.



btw If you are rich enough... the channel "MTV JAMS" plays music 24/7 but you have to pay for it.

Most of the newest shows in all chanells suck as well, producers don't wanna change, they just want to use the same stuff that was succesful once and use it until its completly dried up. And since they've always done that they can't come up with new ideas. At least in the U.S.
Good thing we have internet to save us from this new era of lame cliche shows!

I never really see music videos on Mtv anymore. It's more like a channel for reality shows. Personally I find it annoying.
I mean most of the reality shows are okay, but I think there should be a balance between music and reality shows.
