I don't know why you're asking anyone here. Most people who would like to spend most of their time watching anime and bantering about the newest series or movie is unlikely to have any knowledge about guns outside of "That's a rifle, that's a handgun, don't stare down that end, that's how you fire the thing".

i have a de.44 and an ar-15 among other things

as for handguns i recomend the cz-75b or the jericho941 those are in mosts oppinions including mine some of the best handguns
if you want old school a p`08 or some colt .45 revolvers are good
if you want power, well we all know about the m82a1 and the m90 barrett .50 rifles
if ya wantin range then your lookin at the barret 98bravo. its their new rifle and it looks pretty awesome never fired one but its a 1000meter 1/4moa i think
and for illegal, anything that has an exessive boom factor or is fully automatic will do
and if you want to buy a gun i recomend doing it soon cause barry is gonna take em all away :sad:

alright my father is a fire arms instrucor so im pretty versed in weapons so a2ng0d please go play with your self some where else. If you are new to guns you can hurt yourself badly even with a .22 or frigin BB gun so you go to a range with peopel who have shot guns or better yet take a frigin class in it. those youtube videos are usually of dunk people firing a .50cal gun the truth is that you should in now way start with any magnum style gun because the kick, unless modded with muzzle brake, will great enough to wake a dead mule. The best weapon for some one to use is one that you can shoot and not feal affraid of the gun. An AK is the best Assault Rifle but getting the russian version is the only one worth geting and they are illegal in the united states. Assault rifle a reliable gun would be the M4 but if you are going for scare power i would go for the Beowolf the M4 conversion to a .50cal assault rifle. The best Long Range rifle but one i have not personally shot because if i ever got close to one io would most likely steal it is the CheyTac M200 which has an accuracte shot out to 2200 yards. Yes 2200 YARDS!!! If you have seen the movie Shooter its what he uses for the shot made at the can of Yams. It is a beautful piece of machinery and as a Long Range rifle Fanatic and gun enthusiast i would always recomend getting a cheap Remmington M700. The marine snipers use a modded form of the weapon and it is the best weapon if you have the money for the weapon plus upgrade. Again if you do buy a weapon i strongly suggest not just going to buy a piece of shit low caliber weapon unless you want to teach your child about guns and proper use because lets face if your older th 15 buying a .22 is like pretty close to getting a nerf gun. You dont have to buy low cal but i would recommend buying the multi-safety feature weapon such as the double trigger so that misfires and jams are not an issue.

and rememver the first rule of any firing Range and a general rule of thumb with firearms you always AIM YOUR GUN STRAIGHT UP IN THE AIR OR DOWN RANGE!!!! NEVER AT A PERSON!!!! unless they really piss you off. NO NEVER!!! buut.....

P.S. Shot guns are the best home defense. Just aiming a shotgun at someone scares the shit out of them and lets them know they have entered the wrong Mother F@$%in house. 2 times out on the range practicing to take the recoil should be good enough if you should ever have to use it. Also hanging out in Colorado Springs with my Brother i have learned that people in the city almost always have a LOADED shotgun somewhere in there house especially the Airmen out there.

Having less kick only means a higher chance of hitting the target. And chances are, your average house breaker isn't gonna be trotting around with a bullet proof vest. This is also an issue whether or not you even need a rifle for home defense. man youve obviously had no experience with firearms. i go shooting all the time and i say the best home defense would be a .40. like a glock or something along those lines. and trust me the first gun i ever fired was a 9 and i fired 300 shots and it never jammed once so i dont know what youre saying. and also if you hold a gun right you can fire anything. shotguns are best for home defense and for assault the best way to go is an ak-47 or an m16. personally i like the m16. so as long as youre not a jackass you can own anything. guns arent cheap so dont waste your money with a .22

Well it all depends what you are looking at. Me personally I like the guns that causes big explosions but for personal use for protection a sport I use two custom made col cut berettas. They are low maint, easy to use, and Im a damn good shot with em....

Hell yeah to puppetz. and to a2ng0d didnt mean to get all upiddy I like guns and sometimes I do sound like a Jack ass. puppetz is right but on a side note if you want to drop someone a 22 does not have the power to do so. An AK is a 776 which is great for stopping anyone. The whole rifle thing I was just giving my oppinion on the best gun or my favorite not what's good for home defense because a sniper rifle close range whill go straight through a person and they probably will not feel it unles it is a 50cal because it is designed for supersonic almost instantaneously and ps, not to sound like a jack ass again, a rifle with a 2200 yard you would not fire at an animal unless you wanted to search for the chunks of deer within a 200 diameter area of where you hit it if it stood still for 5 seconds which is how long it takes the bullet to travel the 2200 yards or just over a Mile.
