They won't let it die because it's gotten them money for the past what, 10 years? Every Pokemon game has the same stroyline, catch Pokemon and beat the Elite Four. It's so simple yet so popular

The series needs a big revamp, because there's not alot more they can do to expand the game or story. I personally got tired of the series with the Saphire and Ruby versions.

well after reading the description i might get it even though i got bored with diamond fast after beating the Elite Four, and catching everything on diamond and moving pokemon over from fire red, sapphire, and ruby. hopefully you can catch pokemon from both versions instead of having to trade them. if it doesn't do that then i won't buy it.

Well they did attempt to change it with games like Pokemon Ranger and Mystery Dungeon but I never heard any feedback on those...

You're missing out on the competitive side, I doubt that you know of the competitive changes to the game. Scizor with Bullet Punch moved him up about 100 000 uses a month. Salamence with Outrage just made a new Garchomp. Hypnosis dropping back to 60% accuracy made Gengar drop 10 places. Really you need to know about the competitive additions. The biggest things about DP was the physical special split, and not one review that I saw mentioned it.

There was a big revamp, in fact there is every time but people are too ignorant to see it. In Ruby Sapphire they made the IV system go to 31 rather than 15. The EV training system made a cap on total EVs, meaning that you have to be strategic in training your Pokemon. Natures were added making sweepers have to choose Jolly or Adamant/Timid or Modest. And special abilities were added of course. In DP was the physical special split, making and breaking many of the old favourites. There are others but I don't think that I need to elaborate any further.

There will almost certainly be a GS remake.

They didn't go nearly as well, because they weren't nearly as good. No one knows about the core Pokemon audience.

If they make a Pokemon that is too cheap, it can be banned, if they make a game that is not enough for the non-base, and they don't have the base, their screwed.

I know. Even when you're the Champion nothing happens because each time you go back to the league, the previous Champion is there.

They should have a set of strong trainers vying for the Champion title and hunting you down for it. That should make things interesting.

And the League shouldn't just be five consecutive battles. It should be like a Gym. A few nameless trainers then that member of the Elite Four

OK, this is where a lack of knowledge of competitive Pokemon makes you wrong. What they have with WiFi in Pokemon should not change much, a ladder system would suck. You need to understand that Nintendo would not use proper rules and regulations, while I think that Smogon is up themselves, I do think that they do that job properly. This could only be done with the aid of Smogon.

... You got me. Although it's more when people don't know exactly what they're talking about. I got really sick of reviews of DP that didn't mention the most important things in the game (physical-special split, much easier EV training).

I don't think that there's any one like that. It would be way too slow. Shoddy is actually really fast. Ooh, and just because I can mention it and I am trying very hard to do this, I'm trying to get Magikarp into OU, which means that I just have to use it a lot on Shoddy, just as a joke. Want to help?
