The kiss broke before I realized what was going on. Damian Vincent was on the other side of the room, panting, looking at me as if he saw a ghost. However, his gaze made me wonder if I was something too dangerous for him to be around. “Your blood sings to me, as if you are my taste of heroine,” he said quietly, looking at me skeptically. “That means,” I implied on the subject at hand. “Don’t you get it Rose? What just happened between us can never happen again because I can not bear it if I lose my consciousness and I kill you in the process,” he said, spitting the words into the air.
I go back to the closet and I change back to my clothes, however, in the corner of my eye, I see something indented in the wall. Thankfully I locked the door to the closet so he would not come in while I fiddled with the small door. After several minutes of trying to open it, several layers of dust brushed off with the swipe of my hand and a small hook was visible. Pulling on the hook and pushing in at the same time, the small door finally opened, and I stepped inside. “Rose, when are you going to come out, it’s been more than three minutes,” said Damian. He could not wait any longer, and he came barging in after I was more than halfway through this mysterious room that I never knew about.
“Now where did that little pest run off to,” he asked to himself, gazing wondrously around the empty room, while cradling his chest in his arms.
It was a dead end, and there was no where to go. I gazed out of the small window that was half the size of a true circle and peered into the neighbor’s back yard. There was a young boy that was playing Frisbee with his chocolate Labrador retriever, and I just smiled happily as my memories started to return from long ago. However, as I started to turn back to mom’s old room, I noticed another small door right behind my back. Pushing as hard I could, I fell on my butt into the closet in my old baby room.
Gazing helplessly, I trailed my fingers over the old crib, the changing station, and finally a picture of all four of us on a small end table. Mom was holding me in her arms, smiling happily, while dad held Riuki in his arms, and the same identical smile was on hers, was on his face as well. We looked like the traditional American family. Mom’s hair was an array of mixed colors, which some people say she had ash blonde hair. With sparking green eyes, mom looked like the rainbow goddess, who delivered messages from Hera. Dad would come in behind her in the baby room and say, “how is my goddess today.” My father had dark brown hair with blue eyes to match, and a light tan made him look like he was from the Caribbean islands. I wondered then how my mother was so lucky in snagging such a wonderful good looking husband. Smiling helplessly, I could not stop the tears from falling. I missed them a lot, and I wished that mom was here for me to talk, so she could put my hair up in braids like she did of old.
I knew at that moment that Damian was in the room, for his hands were wrapped around me eagerly, waiting for me to cry in his arms. “I’m sorry,” he said with a sad tone. I finally had what I have been longing for; arms to cry in, and I cried helplessly until no more tears were shed. A small kiss on my forehead made me wake up from my deep and eternal slumber. However, I could not remember falling asleep. A small smile appeared on his face, and he said, “Let’s get you home and into some warm covers, where you will be safe from other monsters who roam these dark woods.” I fell asleep into Damian’s arms, realizing I was safe from the nightmares returning.

She looked so beautiful in my arms that I did not want to return her to the house that made her meek and mild. Instead, I wanted eagerly to turn her, to make her part of my life. Yet, I did not want Rose to be mad at me for my incompetence of not listening to her. “Why am I so eager to rid her of the world she lives in,” I asked myself as I flew her home. The night wind was breathtaking and exhilarating at the same time that I realized how much I really enjoy a nice flight. I wished at that moment that she could be awake and to enjoy this moment of exhilaration that I was experiencing with Rose in my arms.
I finally came to the balcony of her room, where we met earlier tonight. How I wish time could rewind and we could spend the night together once more. I tried to open the door with her in my arms but it didn’t work very well. Awaking Rose is one of the last things I want to do for she is so beautiful, and yet, I want her to keep dreaming of what ever she maybe dreaming of. Not like I am capable of such things. So I held her around the waist with one arm while opening the French doors to her room. I finally succeeded by using my powers with a gust of wind. The doors flew open and closed behind me without a sound, making sure her aunt did not wake up and find her sleeping helplessly in a strange man’s arms. I laid Rose in her bed and covered her up, making sure she was nice and warm. With a parting kiss on her lips, I left quietly without a sound, disappearing from her view.

I thought what I experienced last night was a dream. I wished it was a dream and nothing more. A night filled with tears and romance between two different individuals who would never find each other ever again. Sort of like Romeo and Juliet, however, this man could twist my heart and make me ache for his love and so much more. My heart stated racing just at the thought of it, and a butterfly feeling was in my stomach, as if I wanted that to happen between the two of us. It was just a dream, right?
