Hey, have you noticed that most (like 99%) of the popular games, that you are playing, are made by USA (electronic arts, valve).
However, the Witcher is not! It's Polish ^^ made by CD Projekt and Atari. There is also a movie, which this game is based on "The Witcher" or the original title "Wiedzmin" If you like this sort of stuff you should definitely check it out !!^^ I recommend it!
The guy who playes the main character - he's one of my the most favourite actors. He's just a solid man.

Actually i think it is originally a book by Andrzej Sapkowski.
The game is not as free as oblivion or even Fable. Once you leave an area you can't always return (and if you return its often changed). The game was originally pretty buggy, and with very long load times, but most of the problems have been solved by patches.
Even so i loved the story, and the way that your actions have consequences for the game world. Some will be obvious and others not, and i like the fact that they show us.
All in all i must say i love the game. I am actually considering replaying it right now :D

Yes, you're right, but not so many ppl read the books those days. Actually, Andrzej Sapkowski - A.S. is known as the "ACE" of Polish fantasy literature. I'm very surprised, that someone knows him!

I haven't read him, bought the game a while back and his name was on. Thought about buying one of his books, after playing the game, but haven't so far.
