Music Instrumental or Songs?

Which one you prefer?
Enjoy listening to songs sang by artists or just only music?

Personaly, I like music instrumental, especially from anime- the background music.... But most of my friends like songs.....
So, how about you all?

Instrumental or Songs
Uhhh, I'm leaning a little more towards instrumental. Simply because when i listen to genres like opera, trance, dnb, darkstep, and easy listening type of music, I'm able to concentrate more and it really helps me when i'm working.

I prefer music with lyrics. Instrumentals are good when I wanna practice singing the song but mostly it's music w/ lyrics. Possibly the only song I will listen to without lyrics is "Byakuya~True Light~" which is the opening for DN Angel. There is a piano version of it that is just too awesome

I like music with words as long as the lyrics are good e.g. "Dispatch", "Say Hi", or "Death Cab For Cutie". However, I really enjoy some instrumental when I am studying because it keeps me up but doesn't distract me with lyrics.

I prefer songs w/ lyrics because instrumentals tend to get a little boring.Some are really good though,like classic music and rock instrumentals.

I don't have a preference. There are more good lyrical songs than instrumental songs when it comes to rock, which is my favorite genre, but that doesn't mean that some instrumental songs aren't just amazing (YYZ, Classical Gas, etc.).

Some of the best albums are incomplete without an instrumental or two. They have their place.

I love YYZ haha.
but yeah I don't have a preference, I just happen to have more songs with lyrics than I do without.
But there are some songs i have that are just awesome where the music seems to override the lyrics, such as The World Without Logos (Hellsing Opening), and also Run Rabbit Junk (heard a couple times in GITS: SAC)

Both and or either. Doesn't matter to me. Well except american country music. HORRIBLE STUFF. Oh and full blown vocal trance song, like some woman is singing throughout the whole thing while the beat is too soft and tone too gentle, highlighting the voice. HATE THAT STUFF. Oh and I can't seem to listen to blue grass. Other then that my imagination allows me to enjoy both.

the type of music I.E. if im listening to rap then.....well somebody shoot me because i hate rap

seriously though it depends on the singers voice the type of music all kinds of things soooo i cant really ansewer

leoern basically said it for me. the topic is vague, because there are alot of talented instrumentalists, and the same goes for singers
so it can go either way, though if you ask what i would prefer to hum and sing it would be lyrical songs :P
