Well been kinda boring here so i thought i'd start a topic and see if people take interest =).

Do any of you play online games? anything from Counter-Strike to World of Warcraft?

It'd be pretty cool to find somebody here has the same taste as you do =P

Well I play WoW(currently out of game time, but going to buy more soon.), Guild Wars, Rappelz(Kinda fun if you can be bothered to learn the basics.). I also used to play UT2k4 online, but stopped several months ago, got pretty bored with it.

Playing WoW atm, though i'm extremely bored of it now..
Recently found RF Online, quite entertaining even though i'm only at lvl 20 x ]
And it's 100% Free..:p

Literally just finished un-installing rf online xD, its so badly maintained and the gameplay depth is shallow at best.

Waiting for hellgate atm nothing else has my eye really.

To be honest, I was a Flyff junkie myself awhile back. xD
It was awesome for the first while, but leveling up became incredibly slow for me at about level 18.
And then came ...-shudders-
Version 9 T_T
Everything in the game jumped crazily in price (changing your hairstyle cost a million penya) and plenty of other nasty things that still gives me nightmares.

I play Fiesta now. It's not the greatest game ever, but it's got it's good points.
Their Mage class is screwed though xD

I was thinking of getting Rappelz, but I heard the lag is something else x.x
I can only really play free MMO's though, so the selection, while not too small, isn't very good >.<

I only play one online game that being Guild Wars and although i have little skill at playing my char, i still play because i likes it =D[[and itsfree :)]]
I havent really tried any other online game 'cept for WoW...but i didn't like WoW =p

Runescape ruined visual rpgs for me. I play a text based game and also a admin on it called Dragon Battle. It's not bad if you have the imagination for text based games. It can be addicting though.

i did play WoW but got really boring after awhile but yea Dwarf huntards ftw,
Now i play Guild Wars which is a pretty good game, also can't go wrong with CSS but can only play so much before i loose interest in it also runescape had it's moments, rappelz was pretty good too and a good old game called martial heroes :D

i used to play runescape back in the day...it was fun, for a couple of weeks :D
ive just started playing fiesta and i mean i really just started, im lvl 4. if anyone wants to play with me or has been playing and is willing to share their knowledge with me just let me know, and maybe we can get a group and party together.

Played FFXI for a while, wasn't too happy w/ the exp system although I liked the ability to switch between jobs, then started working on WoW for about 2 years I think, took a break to fix the comp a few months back and kind of just didn't go back when I realized how much of my life was spent on WoW, now I'm enjoying reading manga, books, tv, and especially this site, as well as getting caught up on all my console rpg's, tried out LotRO for about a dozen hours over 3 days, and now I'm kind of looking at Huxley, it sounds interesting although I'm tempted to go back to WoW for the new expansion, but what I really want to do is get a xbox 360 and try out Mass Effect, heard it's great from some friends and it looks good, but right now I'm just focusing offline to finish up SO:TTEOT and FFXII so that I can be ready for FFXIII when it comes out, but if anyone ever needs something on WoW I"m on Sen'jin server, 70mage 375tailor/375mining as well as some alts w/ low lvl crafting capablities

Hehe i played ffxi as well, the grinding was insane, if i remember lvl 40? was when everything got good and I was tearing my hair out in the late 20's.

dun dun daaaah, I'm back to Ragnarok Online (re-installed it this morning) this is officially my 4th time returning. -_- methinks i have an addiction.

it wasn't just the grinding that was insane, also the possibility of de-lvling, and the crafting process was only about 60% well thought out, and then the cost of gear, the over farmed rare spawn/drops, and the fact that you had to hit 40 so you could afford the pimp gear and pots and food that you needed to run a lvl 25cap mission just to advance the storyline, although I'll admit I had fun earning the summons since that kind of had a cheap way to get through it

I just started though. I like it. I mean it can be slow at times but it's fun.

I've always marveled at the people who can play those. When I picture what they're like in my mind, they're very intelligent and patient people who probably get straights A's and play Dungeons and Dragons?

As far as MMORPGs go; I know that WoW is uber popular and whatever but the character design is just too cartoon-ish for my taste. I guess I prefer something a little more sophisticated like Lineage 2. (bebe ;D)

dragon battle is fun little hard on the newbies but you'll learn quick when you discover what mounts to buy.

Team Fortress 2 (gotta love the 'twitch'), COD 4 (all the addictiveness of leveling a character, no monthly charge), WoW (...), and C&C Generals: Zero Hour (I love RTS).

At the moment I'm trying to not spend all of this holiday season playing video games, but I fail miserably. Then I watch anime and post on forums. Online games have nothing to brightly colored cartoons...

COD 4!!!!!! and gears of war is wicked! i duno theres good stuff out for ps3 as well but i love my 360, tho ive been ignoring her for a bit catching up on sum flicks/anime/and online

Lets see Asheron's Call was my first mmo. Played WoW, Lineage 2, DDO, Guild Wars.... Halo 2 and 3. I'll say I really like all of them. I think Lineage 2 probably had some of the best graphics at least imo. Although the others looked great to..I guess they just all have a different style. If I had to pick a favorite I'd go with DDO.

I agree, I'm not sure how WoW got to where it is with a character design that reminds me of the day time shows on Cartoon Network. I mean really, wouldn't you like to be playing Gorgoth the Destroyer!!! ... rather than Bugs bunny? :/

I liked WoW personally but when the new expansion came out at the beginning of last year it took me a couple of days to hit 70 pretty much doing solo grinding in areas other ppl hadn't reached yet, also netted me a ton of rare and epic stuff b/c w/o ppl there the drop rate was better, but after being 70 for several months and having almost all the solo and early dungeon quests done it got kind of boring waiting for everyone to get to the point where we'd be doing consistent raid groups, so I finally quit, I may go back eventually but I'm reluctant to find I'll be at that point again, and I don't really feel like playing a new class b/c then you're just doing mostly quests you've already done along w/ a few class quests I haven't seen yet, so right now I"m playing Dragonfable, Adventurequest and Mechquest, all pretty fun and free

I got Diablo 2 not so long ago. I don't play all that often, because my friends never feel like playing. I could play with other people, but it seems somewhat pointless.

And for FPS I play BattleField 2142. Not the greatest game out, however I enjoy it

i ve played silkroad, rappezzel, arclord, flyff, domo, sword new world, feista, asda story, metin, cronos, final fantasy 11, 2 moons, 12 sky, 9 dragons, rf online, and just about all of the free mmos but i find that there is always something off like graphics will be cool and get lot of lag or not good and no lag and all of them are super slow to fix bugs and glitches let alone go after botters or scammers.

I don't see how you can play FFXI, I loved how they had the storyline set up, so that you could easily find out more by doing the missions, but the lvl caps while challenging were annoying, the twink gear, expensive as all hell, and the lvling system, not to mention the delvling were just beyond irritating

Well the thing i didn't quite pick up on my first playthrough is that to thrive in your game you have to take part in all aspects of the game, it's quite genius of SE tbh.

To make money effectively you probbaly wanna take up a craft and a sub-craft, now when your starting obtaining all the items you'd need might get hard so your then encouraged to take up a hobby like fishing or gardening to complement your craft.

It seems a bit tedious at first, and god knows I can't stand the running about. But considering all the features and things you can take part in is most definately worth it, I'm not even talking about end-game stuff but at levels like 20+ you can take part in alot more than previous levels.

I left the game before at about level 19 (when my trial ended) and due to my Linkshell(another word for guild\clan) being a bit crappy I wasn't really told about all the things the game offered.

So all in all, try it till you can at least unlock the advanced jobs and trust me you'll start to realize the game is worth much more credit than its usually given.

Well once you purchase the game (The new release comes with 3\4 expansions with it and is like £20) you get a 30-day trial, for me that really wasn't enough to really test out the game, but then again I'm quite lazy when leveling. ^^

See in theory the idea sounds nice, but I played until my Samurai was lvl 42, my subjob of warrior was 30+, and most of my other jobs were between 20-25, except for summoner which was lvl 1, but had most of the summons already thx to a friend who was a maxed red mage, who was able to take me to get all the crystals I needed to learn the summons w/o needing to lvl up on my own first, now that was fun, lvl 1 and able to summon everything, but while there were aspects of FFXI that I liked WoW just ended up appealing to me more, it was more user friendly, FFXI to me just seemed a little more for the hardcore gamer

I just bought CoD 4. At the moment I can't play online. I'm sure I have to dl a patch or something. I can't wait to multiplay! This game is amazing, too short, but great
